Pdub - sadly we don’t decide on planning matters...SCC do. So the matter won’t be fully laid to rest until the decision is made...which I’m hoping will be on 8th August.

You can only spud a well once from surface...if for whatever reason you screw up that well and cannot renter it ...then it’s lost, but still considered as a well for planning. Brockham has 3 wells...with each one having a wellhead at the surface.

Regarding Brockham extended flow test and production......Brockham has a production licence, but testing the Kimmeridge formation is virgin territory (never been produced from commercially), so thats why they need to do an extended flow test first. Once it is proven commercially and the relevant data which has been finger printed over an agreed period then it should only be a case at OGA level of changing the status of the well from appraisal to producer as the field is already licensed to produce (different story to HH).

Like a new production car, you need to do extensive tests to prove it before production starts. Or changing a status of a building from private to home for instance. With respect to the 3 years mentioned....that's a huge time safety factor built in to avoid having to go back and reapply which is very messy.

Onbeyaondzebra - The key part of the immediate timeline for Angus is at 6min 46secs.....where Vonks says "...the only thing we are going to do now is switch the wells on that we drilled in the NEXT FEW MONTHS"

Brotherant - the few vocal NIMBYS don't want any drilling, any housing estates, any runway extension, gypsy caravan sites, supermarkets unless its Waitross to increase the value of their property......these guys will always find a fault to delay projects. Fracking is just an excuse, but this is a non starter for all Weald players as we are not a fracking company.

You are not dealing with civil servants, but inexperienced folk who have been voted in on a personal agenda and their sole purpose is to keep their job. Until the decision making is taken out of their hands, then you will continue to see lengthy delays. UKOG will soon feel the pain that Angus has gone through, plus they are several stages behind.

Jarv55 - then your comments should be directed to Fracking companies operating in Lancashire and Co rather than the Angus BB.

Jarv55 - its a non issue as Angus state as a company and in any paperwork submitted to local authorities that they will not frack.

You cannot frack with the equipment used to do a well test.....a fracking test package takes up a football field.

So again...you are highlighting something that is a non starter.

Folk keep talking about having the same team to do the jobs....but that is impossible to do. You will never get the same rig personnel, service company hands and Company Men to be there for each job.

Apart from the disastrous BB well test...the last one was a HH in 2016. So for the well testing stage of the operations....there is no real previous knowledge where you can finger print neighbouring wells data. We are not putting a man on Mars. This is a standard oilfield procedure and there are plenty of folk in all positions who can do the job.
