JohnnyBGoode - the nitrogen has nothing to do with increasing the reservoir pressure. I've already covered this in previous posts .It's used to displace the fluid in the wellbore.

This is the UK Governments stance....amazing that a 7 day operation has to jump through hoops...but zero limits on railways.

ChasPB - exactly ...150 trains a day during the week not including Thameslink and as you say freight trains. The mouse they create is immense. But they seem OK with that lol

I find it hypocritical when supposed local folk complain about the noise....what about the noise from the saw mill or the train line.

Baits - When you stimulate a well and flow it using acid / nitrogen you get all the fluid (completion fluid that was in the well applying overpressure) coming out of the well. There will be an interface of maybe 100-200bbls which is a mixture of hydrocarbons and completion fluid before it cleans up and is just hydrocarbons with any formation fluid.

Stimulating the well with nitrogen and getting it to flow is very quick. No hydrocarbons are pumped into the well....any hydrocarbons seen at surface is from the Kimmeridge in this place.

Considering the RNS was issued on Monday then the test could in theory continue to Monday.

gpmh - this was my reply that was deleted along with the trolls

gpmh - The previous hole section was drilled into the Kimmeridge Formation. It was then cased off with 7" liner and cemented. Pressure tests were carried out to ensure well integrity i.e. no leaks. The reservoir section was then drilled and then a 4 1/2" slotted liner installed.

So the hydrocarbons flowing to surface will come from the Kimmeridge. Why it wasn't included would be down to the fact as you say the oil samples need to be analysed to confirm this (even though we know it's from the Kimmeridge). It's all part of the due diligence that needs to take place to eventually turn the tap on for full production.
