RE: Brockham8 Oct 2018 09:42
I see the trolls have been trying to work their magic regarding Brockham and a lack of equipment.
You’re not going to send equipment from 1 operation to another without taking a big risk of having equipment failure. Only folks who do that are the Arabs who enjoy very cheap contract rates and are willing to take the risk of a failure say 1 in every 20.
Brockham is gong to be a long EWT, so even though the equipment has just been used, you still need it to be serviced. You don’t want any equipment to fail during the test. Why? Well you are circulating very strong abrasive fluids which can eat away at seals (resulting in a failure with temperature / pressure / chemical reaction), also solids can build up in lines / tanks and even though they may have been flushed out at Balcombe...it’s not a thorough job.
The coiled tubing equipment had a failure while doing the logging run (couldn’t run the tools on slickline due to the hole angle being too high). Halliburton ran the coiled tubing, so this will lost likely be sent to Aberdeen or Great Yarmouth for servicing.
So you have to factor in time it takes to get equipment back to their respective a yards, cleaned, serviced, configured for Brockham , pressure tested, prepared for delivery and finally delivery. I would say 1 week from the tIme it left the site ...so say 10th October earliest... I would hope to see other ancillary equipment arriving.
