Drmaze £6? the NBV of the fleet is around £5bn alone, add a business that is generating around £0.5bn of profits not sure where your maths is.

This is not being valued where it should be due to macro economics and geo politics.

The board can refuse a bid and this company isn't going under, they can issue more debt and service it if need be. Profits this year will be hit, but its temporary.

If they can stick to upgrading fleet, with Airbus ramping up production this will help. The holidays business has been growing, could dip this year, but has been a driver, the new loyalty scheme will be interesting and see its impact. EasyJet are 70% Hedged and people need to remember that even a modest £5 increase in the price of tickets if they need to do that wont impact much.

Long term the weak players will disappear, even some airlines are moving away from short haul, they don't see their business in that market.

A bid hasnt come and if it does, it will be opportunistic and they will get the response they deserve, this aint a £3bn company its £10bn plus easily when they hit the Strategy target. I flew wiyth Easyjet this month and at least a 96% occupancy, they are flying and no issues with fuel.

Easyjet was over £10 but dividends were higher and covid hit them hard, they had to issue equity. SHare price is reflected by this idiotic war that has killed innocent lives and has potential to do a lot of harm with high energy and Fertilizer prices.

Can’t defend this company , IAG up 2% today and we are down by that much, the execs need to be held accountable. They are not landing the message with the market.

I am in here as this share should be at least £6, holidays business is motoring and they are upgrading fleet. Just annoying this has been a turd. Just my patience running out. ironic we are getting replaced by a trading platform.

What do these guys need to do to improve performance? They do well in the capital market days, and reporting updates. But it doesn’t seem quite god enough. Are the markets punishing them for the short term investment in Italy etc. I read wiz growing aggressively may eat into margins but that always come, this one has to be held longer as this is undervalued, profits af revenue has been rising and to be at levels comparable to last 3 years is a joke, they market doesn’t want to reflect growth hence PE low.

I’m not bothered about external noise, and with trump hitting Iran the wider markets will be down.

For this company share price seriously underperforming the likes of IAG and ryainair really reflects badly on management.

I have emailed investor relations I kick myself not taking my gain, and going into Rio or gsk that I have in the past and were in my target.

Btw I want to ask why is easyJet putting all their eggs into airbus planes, I’m glad they are and understand with Boeing quality issues. But surely looking to get another aircraft maker we perhaps could get better pricing, I know volumes come with discounts, but Ryanair has the 737 max.

They can, it takes time to acquire customers. On the holidays presentation you can see the customer segment.

The holidays business is scalable and capital light, most of the sunk costs are in and higher customer numbers improves the margin of that business as largely it is COS and marketing costs acquiring the customers. Personally the £450m number will be met before 2030 and that is even if they improve pricing and win market share with lower margins than currently. I think the app needs improving and i am sure features will improve.

Not sure Debt is going to be paid down, will go up, cashflow can cover the capex requirements this year but FY27 and FY28 there are big jumps, but added debt wont be significant as the business will be growing and cost of debt should be falling, we have seen peak debt costs already behind us.

There are headwinds from cost of fuel, but having more efficient airlines and reduced COS will help that.

The airline did mention at FY they may not actually own all the aircrafts out right and may do sale and leasebacks, so they have a good negotiating tool, but if the holidays business does grow faster and cash flow improves, the level of debt growth may not be significant

Cheers Thumper, Q2 (easyjet reporting period) is usually not a great one for Airlines, usually is bigger losses.

Just hoping, we are going in the right direction of winter losses reduction.
