If they could really read anything about an uncertain future from the certain past, they'd all be billionaires.

Fact is that nobody who is not inside knows whether any share is going to 110% of today's value or 90% of todays value. Fundamentally all share prices are wrong, and the trick is to pick and buy those that are fundamentally wrong on the cheap side and sell them when they are at fair value. If your fundamental analysis has served you well to this point (as mine has), I suggest you stick with it.

Retained earnings -£45.5m and counting. The company has not delivered a single lovin' spoonful of gold (or copper) in its entire history, and will have to make all those reatined losses back in profits before it can even think about paying ordinary shareholders a dividend.

There's only one subset of shareholders who will be sucking on the KEFI teat for the foreseeable future. Those with an unblemished record of over-promising and non-delivering.

So the transaction was due to settle on 23 April and both parties agreed prior to this date not to settle it. Yet the market only finds out about this today.

Anyone who holds here after this debacle is asking to get shafted and deserves all they get.

Dividend valuation model depends on one knowing the quantum and, in this case more importantly, timing of the dividend flow. Firstly the company needs to accumulate profits to eliminate the historic losses - £50m and counting - so the first dividend timing is somewhere between 10 years and never.

It's also a steep discount factor given the risk.

SB is the clown who flamed me last week for losing patience after nearly 10 years and selling out 5% higher than the current bid. Now it seems he's lost patience too... but is in so far over his head he can't afford to cut his losses.

If you could tell anything worth knowing about the future from past prices all you chartists would be gazillionaires. You're not, so like me you're better off buying things you think are undervalued, and selling them when you think they're fairly valued.

I can guess why, and if you're honest you probably can too. But it cannot be spake lest it tarnish the golden tickets.
