Danners, as I've said before many times, my 'hobby' for want of a better word is to prevent other investors from being taken in by this perennial jam tomorrow story. Too late for you I know, but efficient markets (which I am a fan of) demand it. If you don't like to be frequently reminded of what a fool you are by holding this junk, filter me. But I ain't going anywhere. You do you, and I'll do me.

Not that it's any of your business Simms, but for what it's worth I have a diverse portfolio of nearly 100 stocks split almost exactly even income and growth, with a small number of very speculative micro-caps in the growth section.

I was a holder here for almost 10 years until the scales fell from my eyes in April, and now get my gold exposure from CEY (testing 52 week lows) and SHG (which I bought when selling here).

My reason for posting here and very little elsewhere is because I don't have much to say on other stocks by and large. Here I feel obligated to warn those looking in, thinking of buying based on the constant ra-ra-ramptastic nonsense posted. Unless warned, they will be the next marks in this IMHO long con.

I lost a substantial amount to Harry and the grifters. You're already in, there is no hope for you, but I would hate for anyone new here to also fall victim.

It's also a naive question because why would a syndicate including the Ethiopian Government want to buy what now amounts to an asset in Saudi?

A more sensible question would be why is some of the money sloshing around in Saudi not interested in acquiring a Saudi asset?

Think a little harder, Simms45. What does that REALLY tell you? With the other assets this company has, does a £28m market cap tell you that Mr Market thinks

(a) you ARE about to secure $320m of finance for Tulu Kapi, or

(b) that you ARE NOT about to secure $320m of finance for Tulu Kapi?

Because it is one or the other.

It's obvious that one of the cornerstones in the syndicate is having commitment issues. And as I've said before, these people rarely say 'no' this far in unless forced (like by people saying 'we've done all we can, it's up to you now'). They just don't say yes.

And if what I'm hearing from previously impeccable sources is correct, the team are now working on how they break this to you without completely cratering the share price and making the NEXT Hail Mary placing a bloodbath.

My guess (and it is only that) is that one of the debt funders sees more than debt risk, especially against a backdrop of rising interest rates, in line with what smellyben said earlier.

Tough one to get around. When these consortiums come unstitched they are very difficult to put back together. One pulling out because of the inherent risk of the subject is difficult to replace, even if more dominoes don't topple.

As I've said before, the issue is not that the banks will say no. The issue is that after all this time, and despite all Harry's promises, there is clearly something stopping them saying yes. They will continue to throw concrete blocks in the road, until you come up against one that you fundamentally cannot resolve - e.g. "we're already overweight minerals / Africa / USD commodity exposure so decided last week that it is no longer for us".

This has had 'slow no' written all over it for months if not years.
