John and Laura have been over this course before and have played a blinder here, GPM being maintained and probable benefits going forward , any improvement going forward on tariffs would be even better, we are in safe hands and things are looking good compared to many in the US who are drowning under the current regime.

I see that ITX have used JPAC in this instance for the latest shipment, not seen them use JPAC previously, maybe a way of avoiding tariffs (alternative entry route?) imoprted by Chemtan for ITX.

As the information I access is free then the full details are not available as regards ship details.

I for one are not 100% sure where we are at the moment as regards Tariffs, are all being applied evenly across the board, is there still lower rates for those importing materials for manufacture in the US, for me its a total mess, but I am very hopeful we will see progress in the short term.

All I do know for certain is that we have taken delivery of circa 140 metric Tonnes of raw materials this year so far, which must be a very positive sign that we have either negotiated a good price, have special dispensations for imports, benefiting from positive currency exchange rates, negotiated price increases with customers or all of the above.

I always look at it as you do not buy in the raw materials unless you have a market Ito which you are selling.

John/Laura have been over this course before and I am sure that they will be pulling out all the stops to ensure that we negotiate our way through the choppy waters currently being experienced and come out the other side in good shape.

Just a reminder of the current situation, which we may have lost sight of, we have imported since Feb 24 circa 500 Metric Tonnes of raw materials that we have visibility of, which far and away more that we have ever imported (again were we well ahead of the game?)

As of the end of 2024 we had over $2 million in finished goods, probably a lot more that this before the tariffs kicked in, split between Europe and the US (again were we well ahead of the game?)

We are only a matter of 2/3 weeks into this situation, so would suggest that we have put plenty of supply in place to keep all our clients supplied and have enough raw materials in hand for the foreseeable future (no crystal ball)

In my opinion we will see a resolution to this hopefully before the end of the month and a walk back to some normality, No one is benefitting from this that I can see and as usual Joe public are the ones that suffer most.

Are we close to the bottom and entering a big buying opportunity?

That makes total sense, not sure what all the excitement is about, the clown only reduced the tariffs on the insignificant few who have bent over backwards to appease coco (10% still in place though)without the main two trading partners of Europe and China back in the game then this is meaningless as they all need each other to function.

Think you may be being a bit melodramatic as regards this, what are your motives here for the statement below, I wonder. I am sure that there are other countries that produce Itaconic Acid which are not Chinese and have had their tariffs put on hold too, just think that this is a very dangerous statement that you have come out with.

The China/US issue will be resolved very shortly in my opinion, neither can do without the other, did have a laugh with Trump saving all these so called Billions of Dollars only to be handing them back out again in support to the US firms that are being affected. Total clown.

As with all things, this stupidity will pass, have we not had worse times in the recent past, with the pandemic or have we forgotten that soon.

Point to ponder, guess we do not necessarily have to set up a new facility in Europe in the short term, could we not have our ingredients made under licence, by the likes of Solvay, Croda or Nouryon ? Just a thought

Think in the current flux that has been created, you could be very correct that ITX will be in the crosshairs to be taken over, let’s hope that we get quick amicable resolution to this crazy situation.

Like always when these events happen, there is always a knee-jerk reaction by some, hence the fall in SP today, it will recover for sure, when the dust settles.

The bigger picture is that we are a small fish in a very big pond, and you can be assured that the big boys (Unilever etc) will be more heavily affected, and at Trumps door, Trump is not a statesman, he is a two bit salesman (apologies to all decent salesmen lol).

Trump is a bully, but does cares about his perception of how he is portrayed, he is basically a sycophant, he is also a coward and will back down, although he will also somehow try and dress it up as a win.

I would suggest that we are well positioned at the moment as regards supply of raw materials, think that John/Laure may have been very prudent is putting a buffer plan in place.

Would be good though if ITX could put something out to calm the nerves of some investors.
