I don't see how a sheep farmer has to move from the village? Mine 2km away hardly affecting the grass his sheep eat.
'I'm against the mine, I don't think it will be being anything good, I am just a sheep farmer and want to be with my sheep' ...??? And that won't change. Their fear is driven from FUD. I don't understand mining, so I'll say no to it. They make it sound like the whole area will be mined, destroying the village... Bit alarmist!
Writers talk about extraction from these mountains.... plural, like they are going to floor every mountain in the region... They make a few holes in different places.
Cattle farmers want to preserve and keep their way of life.... Again mine won't stop that, the things they complain 'might' happen have mitigating mine plans in EIA as per requirements of law etc. There are things in place to mitigate their fears and APA ensures that. She says everything around her will dissappear!? Totally incorrect and huge exaggeration....
environmental NGO doesn't know what is going to happen to the batteries... Someone point her to the Internet she has neglected to read! 2nd uses and current recycling taking place. Mire recycling in the pipeline.
mine workers brought in vans.... This is not mexican shift workers... Haha
even title of article is misleading, they have not paid a price yet and not sure what pollution they think is going to happen, great big dust clouds? Won't happen.
