Someone with a big amount can approach a MM to sell their shares on their behalf. The MM does not sell them onto the BID because that is just selling to other MMs as they are the buyers on the BID. The MM sells them to buyers on the ASK. Either for a fee or they actually buy them off the seller for a prearranged price. The second way you only ever see the sell side when the shares have all been sold back to market by the MM, concluding the deal.

There was a 2 million share trade worked in the morning on GGP, so plenty of liquidity. Auctions threw up 100k-350k shares being offered both sides. There was a twitter tweet I saw discussing the valuation against 5 producers whom together were worth less, so you are going to get seeds of doubt thrown in by people now looking to short or buy in lower causing ripples. Gold had a poor day too so could be tied to just that. It perhaps does have more to go, but where it is in its cycle it maybe considered overshot for now. Heck HZM has how many Billions in value in the ground and valuation is peanuts, certainly got some catchign up to do!

Torn also forgot, there are mines ready to go, developed or be expanded......but they have such high C1 costs they need $20k/t Nickel price to even make it worth their while, so Nickel sweet spot for us is $16-20k doubles our NPV but keeps competition out of the market

It was stuck in a rut at 3.4p, 4p, 5p and look where it is now. Don't let the noise deter you from being in for the bigger news. Having a little read of the RNS', video presentations and blogs like Sponge's should keep you abreast of the news and company position and won't lead to abuse on the board here when on a weak day you ask do we need to raise cash..... Thats a one way street to abuse.... :)

As for big companies putting resources together in the years just passed, not just last year BHP was actually trying to sell of Nickel assets, then flipped to developing it for EVs Class 1 supply, so the certainly were not in the business of finding, developing or buying them. Hence there is a believed long term 'pipeline' shortage.

Picked, I would say that the funding and how and who does it woudl be very different depending on the mine owner would it not. Teck would have a very different deal than HZM and in fact either Glencore or Teck could finance it themselves and get moving.

Torn - I think outside of Indonesia new mines ready to go (certainly mining districts the size of HZM's are rare - could be top10 producer) are few and far between even for stainless supply and years in the making. Big metals companies are in the business of 'market share' it is not just having a finger in a pie but also controlling the supply and being a player in the game that is important too as you can negotiate larger supply contracts if you directly control it. When it comes to EVs that is another story completely, in 10 years if things go as many predict there will be a bun fight for resources and many will look to secure away from Asia and poor ESG to ensure their supply. The Vermelho card is very much not played yet.

Dave it was reference to raising cash, what evidence could you possibly have derived that from, other than you have not read or listened ot a thing the company has said in the last 6 months, in fact not just a month ago you received an interim report that clearly defind how much money the company had......and unl;ess you have been in a box somewhere we are bringing together the financing to begin a mine build.

As for buys more than sells, you may not know that there is a sell and a buy in opposition to those. So when you see a buy a MM is selling. If said MM has more to sell than what is being bought the price does not go up. Tough ASk and a scary day (for some) on the markets and some more selling happens and the price drifts a bit. That was a fair question the other deserved the contempt it got.

When HZM hits the stars. Just looked in on GGP, at times MMs are offering to 'buy' £125k and £250k in shares in one go. Volume is a good thing.

IHowells I think the financing hurdle was the bank syndicate, everything else should drop in fairly easily. Brazil dealing with Covid no doubt delayed their banks and they would have taken notes from the big international ones first anyway. There is a bright side to further talks and that is plenty of people want a slice and they would be jostling for it, meaning an ever better deal for HZM. They certainly are not out with the begging bowls I would think. I also start to feel that the SP will have no bearing on the equity, it will be based on price that only the real market agrees on, not AIM punters value.....but i'll take a hefty Brazil bank effort and fat check for offtake anytime soon.....haha

I will add that Level 2 on SETS traded shares is useful for traders, L2 in AIM which is mostly SETSqx is hardly useful at all given that it is only the depth of the handful of MMs not the depth of all the people able to trade L2 (DMA ability)

L2 is the position of the MMs and how many at each price on each side of the spread. L2 front prices are 7.5p and 7.8p currently. These have little to do with the 'actual' buy and sell 'offers' when you do a dummy trade. L2 is often faked and not representative of the MMs offerings and/or intentions. Think smoke and mirrrors! I've seen bids drop whilst at the same time the actual bid offering go up, as an example. They used the fear of a falling bid to get you to sell to them because the wanted or needed shares.
