Old news from 2 Sept but worth a reminder:
Serenity SA-02 Operations
Drilling operations at the Serenity prospect using the Stena Don. PFML plan to drill the Serenity SA-02 well using the Stena Don semi-submersible drilling rig with operations starting around the 10th September. The operations should last approximately 30 days.

273 trades today and the SP hardly changes from the beginning to the end of day, every day. How long before the seller has finished?
Hopefully and I say hopefully a Spud RNS next Monday or Tuesday will kickstart a decent rise in SP.

Also expecting Serenity Spud RNS Monday morning.

Just for correctness PRD has a webinar this Thursday. Their AGM is a week on Thursday 15 Sept.

I intend to get back in here at some point but at the moment there’s just to much uncertainty. The more time passes, I like I suspect many others is that the drill rig is currently not fit for purpose. Even if it was it will take a month to transport and Tanzania’s short rainy season is from November to December.

IMO there’s no way of any resource upgrade this year. The resource upgrade will come after the CH-1 drill. Why would ARA issue a resource upgrade with partial data and also in the middle of signing a contract with Scirocco for 25% , which should complete before the end of the year.
For all we know that’s why the drill has been pushed back to early 2023 ie when the Scirocco deal is complete. Any resource upgrade could void the existing contract terms and conditions.

Just shows how desperate Morocco is for Natural Gas! Let’s hope Mou2 delivers. I know the plan is for LNG plants on-site to get a revenue stream quickly, it’s scalable and allows you to sell gas at a premium price to remote locations, but I’m sure if there is enough gas they will also start the process in parallel of building that relatively short pipeline to connect the main infrastructure.

Actually Haggis they are looking for investors to build the pipeline “talking to financial institutions to build the pipeline.”
I suspect ARA will may a play to pay for the pipeline at some stage. Rather than getting paid for gas at the well head like Kiliwani, IMO they will want more control in selling the gas.

Hey Sibajak. I was trying to think of your name the other day. I remember Drewky (the optimist), Lastthrow, and Webmore “The Captain” (god bless) and few other LTHs. Oh and Tiptop the best ramper in the business, but in a nice way. IMO he’s the reason the SP got to 7p with NT2.

BG you can put a positive spin on it, but from ARA spud is next year.

Erhan Saygi explained their expectations as a company is to produce gas in the wells of Ntorya 1, Ntorya 2 and Chikumbi 1 which is in preliminary preparation. "We have planned to complete the collection of seismic data in November and start drilling the Chikumbi 1 well which will be the third in this block early in 2023".

So it looks like CH-1 spud has moved to early 2023!

ICB … one thing you missed out is their MC is £44m the same as OURS, when the drill bit stops. Fortunately we should have a few spud dates before full production.

Hey Frank. No I haven’t sold up. This is the best O&G stock out there. Yes 2 weeks delay in confirmation of CH-1 location but what’s missing from the RNS is “still on schedule for November spud”.
Didn’t you predict CH-1 spud for early 2023? You may have gotten something right for once, but let’s hope not.

What’s the point of doing 3D if you’re not going to optimise the drill location. More guarantee of a successful drill. So if the location does change, upto 10 weeks to construct the Drill Paf (ref NT2) then assemble rig, safety test and sign off rig before spud. Spud date may move to early next year.

Looks like a December spud at the earliest. What’s a month or two longer when we’ve waited nearly 6 years for a back to back drill.

So the thread that has at least 50 posts should have been “news maybe due” or “news maybe not due”. Everyone is expecting news if not tomorrow at least before this time next week.
The word “expects” is a positive word and investors reading the RNS will see that as a done deal ie confirmation of CH-1 around the end of August.
