So the Seismic data to determine CH-1 location should be available now. So how long do we think it will take to analysis the data? I know previously it has taken forever after NT-2 was drilled to verify an upgrade in resources. If the position does change, which seems likely (3D data more accurate) which means a new drill pad has to be constructed which took upto 10 weeks for NT-2.
As a guest,CH-1 location confirmed end of October. Construct Drill pad if position has changed. But we are now in the short rainy season Nov/Dec which will make construction difficult.

Greater than 50% for commercialisation, although in reality with the amount of information from previous drilling in the area IMO it’s much greater than 50%.

It’s not the drilling it’s access to the site which is usually remote.

You are wrong Angler. The short rainy season is Nov and Dec. The long rainy season is later in the year.

If info correct regarding Anchor men being booked from 15-17 Sept, the rig will move into position end of this week. (currently only 7 miles away)

Hi Tony …thanks for the factual informative. There may be a disagreement between posters on the numbers, but I just want to clarify that you are in EOG (as well as I3E) because you believe that there is a good chance of a successful Serenity drill. Am I correct?

It’s still anchored 7 miles away. It would only take less than a couple of hours to get to serenity though.

Can we still assume Spud date no later than next Thursday (15 Sept) ?

Donalb …. I think you are correct. The app I used stated it’s anchored at Scapa Flow but GPS coordinates tell a different story. Thanks for that.

Actually that 7.21 miles seems short. I used GPS coordinates for Stena Don current location and the Serenity Oil field and used an app to calculate the distance. Any comments from more knowledgeable posters?

Yes Stena Don still at anchor in Scapa Flow port. The distance from Scapa Flow to the Serenity Field is 7.21 miles and the average speed on the Stena Don is 6mph, so effectively it could take less than 2 hours to get on site.
NFFO services “hazard warning” state Operations will start AROUND the 10 Sept. So hopefully if not today, in the next couple of days.

Perhaps it’s rig mobilisation around the 10 Sept and not spud.

To add (correct me if I’m wrong). A side track is only used if something happens to the original drill bit.

Yanis you’ve been told a dozen times we don’t know how much cash we have. The loan is available IF required. The BoD of covering themselves for if additional testing/drilling is required. How much does a side track cost? More than £2m I would guess. They are paying half towards the drill so £1m and maybe additional cash to for a side track IF required.

Operations start around the 10 Sept. I’m not sure if that is for rig mobilisation or spud.

I believe that I3E will announce the spud but not rig mobilisation.

Looks like a few nervous investors around. The MC is ridiculously low with possible transformational upside from here.
Remember Serenity is an APPRAISAL well so there will be Oil. It’s just a matter of how much.
IMO spud next week.
