RE: Resolve Research have put 32p (20p risked) Target25 Sep 2023 17:58
TheSwan, even more reason they'll do a placing! You don't seriously expect the 'masters of the universe' to chase the share price up with all the riff-raff retail punters to get their volume?
A telling sign for me today was when the market makers stopped electronic buys, "gone NT" as people put it, yet nobody bothered ringing their broker and getting a deal (which is always possible when NT). That's because it's just retail punters trading on their laptops and phones. They can't be bothered to ring their broker, or take a chance on 'deal at any price' instructions., it's not that important to them. When the mm's shut down trading they just chase another rainbow. Anything more than a key click is too much hassle. The only insti looking trade today was a 250k sell.
It may come good, but beware of a placing and other pitfalls. Many a share looks too good to be true and yet punters fall for it as the $$ signs light up in their eyes. On the back of this good news, the big boys will want a placing to get a decent stake if the story is that good, the broker will want one for the fees (probably whispering in the CEO's ear as we speak) and the company will want one for a bit of working capital. If demand is that high then they will want to tap into it with a placing, almost guaranteed imho. Hence the forward selling and struggling share price, my guess from the price action, around 4.5-5p.
But as some say, the purity needs proving up which may be an issue as no guarantees. China are now out the equation with the US taking a stake. And any production is a long, long way off which gives time for the excitement of the funding to die down, doubts to grow and stale bulls to sell up. And placings.
Aimho.
