The diamonds would make this a totally different proposition. It would go from being an easily ridiculed 'dog' as the massed ranks of bashers call it and why it's 0.14p, to a very healthy mining producer with little or no debt. It would also give a huge boost to the trustworthiness of the BoD, having delivered on a promise, which is important to investors. No doubt imho it would result in the mother of all rerates. So it is far more important than just the $ value of the diamonds themselves. This is of course my opinion.

I do find it amusing though that when I posted the other day with the clear disclaimer of "my guess is" and "aimho", regarding a possible scenario, that asimpleinvestor expressed faux outrage and claimed I had insider info. Yet he now claims he has been taking phone calls from his mates in Dubai, London and Harare about the diamonds with little or no disclaimer at all. Very amusing hypocrisy.

It's not a false equivalence though is it. GDR went from 8p to 48p in a few weeks at the start of the year, so it's a very good equivalence actually.

My guess would be the loan only lasts until the 30th because it's the same day they'll get authority to issue another billion plus shares. Next day the placing which has already been arranged, hence the advance sells. Aimho.

The sooner they clear up the financing issue, assuming diamonds aren't imminent, the better. Uncertainty and ambiguity as we approach the 30th are causing the price to collapse.

Yes, I assumed it will be extended again but it is a genuine question. What happens if it's not and shouldn't we be hearing about this very soon as it's only 9 trading days until it expires? Why not extend it for 6 months, or a year instead of a month at a time? Is this so the lender can receive a $0.3m extension fee each time? Could become expensive for Vast, but a nice earner for the lender. It's sounding more like a desperate payday loan with interest rates to match. I assumed it was because Vast expect the diamonds this month, but what happens if they don't appear. Are there any guarantees the loan will be extended?

What happens if they don't produce the diamonds before November 30th when the loan extension runs out? Could it be suspended or worse? Does the extension need to be extended again before the 30th and will there be another $0.3m extension fee? It's only 9 trading days.

I'm glad we now have clarity on why this has gone so low. Nothing sinister, just a large seller. Ok, so derampers will say someone has dumped their holding and play on that, but it could be for any number of personal or financial reasons that have nothing to do with Vast, if it was then more than just one big seller would be dumping and they wouldn't be getting bought up. I hope Vast can now recover to a more sensible level with this ball and chain gone.

The 147.5m and 63.5m add up to what this Barclays investor had left. That's what's been holding this down. But now they're gone and they've been bought up. Distressed seller, games, rollover, who knows, but out the way so game on!

Matched trades. The 63m was a sell yes, but the late flurry was most likely a buy of around 100m, the 63m plus a few 5's. Otherwise why'd they get 14.25 for 100m when the 63m only got 13.25? Use your head lads.

Vast have said it will be sorted in the near future and expect news by calendar year end, the loan that will be paid off by the diamonds has been extended only until the end of November, warrants at 1.44p (10x today's price) are still seen as relevant and have been rolled over, lenders are party to inside info.

Presumably they expect the diamonds this month and the loan paid off and the share price to go above 1.44p.

It's hilarious reading some of the creative writing on here, fantasies like the one below where punters who have lost their shirt now try and make themselves feel better by inventing stories to pretend it wasn't their fault.

Chances are things are exactly as we are told, that's the most likely option and the diamonds or cash equivalent will be along soon. Not some fairytale invented by some tragic, bitter poster on a bulletin board.
