ah, yes, I'd seen that one and to be honest taken it as a given. But certainly worth noting.

I'd suggest (though not sure) that reading some of the later posts of yesterday would give you that clue. Really, Knowing Brings it's rewards. And that last sentence is a capital clue!

II sorted out the basic entitlement very quickly. My placeholder for excess has been adjusted, though not sure if it will be what I end up getting - I'm in no rush as I wasn't planning on selling, but I imagine the work involved is significant, and this OO is over and above the normal day to day work, plus it's currently half term which may well mean staffing is lower than normal. Unless you planned to sell straight away (at which point you have been disadvantaged, but I'd check the wording of any notice they gave to you) there is nothing lost, the shares will be in your accounts soon enough.

Hi RNorth - very quick summary (though check posts by RKBeekeeper). Company is now a cash shell. Is seeking to RTO. LTH have a view that they may know the intended target. There has just been an open offer (on a 1 for 1 basis) which was oversubscribed, meaning the LTH have a degree of confidence that this shell will indeed have an RTO, and if the expectations are to be believed, this will result in a significant increase to the current share price. As always your research is important, and firmly held beliefs may not actually end up correct. Obviously as an LTH myself, I'm hoping that this last comment is not correct!

it doesn't always go that way - MXO being a case in point - it's based on sentiment at the time - if it is viewed simply as a tidying up exercise, then the market may well be happy.

well, in the end I applied for 3m, and IF my placeholder shows the situation (which it may do, but they haven't been converted to actual shares yet) I got 2.68m - we shall wait to see though.

what, ever? So, once placed, the price only ever goes down? Think you will find people buy when they think the price is too low and they can make money - and the research hasn't changed, short term changes don't affect the longer term outlook. Which fingers crossed isn't now too long term!

anyone buying in at this level is going to find a 10 bag happens pretty quickly IMHO. Read the history, the RNS (and the timings). All the ducks are getting neatly into line. Wish I'd got funds left to invest, but I'm happy with what I've got as I haven't! Bearing in mind only invest what you can afford to lose.

I doubt many who bought into the OO will be selling anytime soon - sure, it's an instant profit (though for me my average is still above current SP) but it's the longer term potential I imagine most bought into

And the ISA account has the basic OO, PLUS the placeholder for the excess has been changed to a number approx 90% of what I asked for - which isn't bad!

update - my Trading account now has the shares in it. My ISA (which had my excess application) is currently still waiting for the placeholders to turn into shares! So todays graph may not be as depressing as I thought!

II said on the OO that "proceeds may take up to 10 days" - I didn't pay attention to it at the time, but suspect now that this may mean up to 10 days for the shares to hit the account. Which is fine, just currently making my daily P/L graph look rubbish as the cash has gone but I haven't got the shares yet!

comes around - I first invested in here as a result of payments from redundancy almost four years back - those investments would have been better off under the mattress as it turns out. Redundancy is upon me again, so who knows, maybe that signals a change of direction at Prem? Ever the optimist!
