Since February, the value of my entire portfolio (mostly aim) has taken a serious hit - from 61% of money invested to todays figure of 36% of money invested. February. The month that a certain country took actions the world didn't like. After which, the world went a little kaka (to quote Quantum Leap!). Now, personally, I have to believe that things will get better (I don't like thinking the alternative) but until that time speculative investments (aka anything not gold plated and CERTAIN) are NOT in favour. Am I selling? Nope, because I don't think I'd guess the right time to buy back. Do I think the fundamentals of any of my investment choices has changed for the worse - no, I don't - the companies have sound business models and so far for all of them I hear nothing but good things. This one is a startup company to all intents and purposes - I was employed by one of those, and know how it goes!!
