Ramblings of a sane man16 Jan 2020 19:39
I get the frustration with the lack of news since the demo day, I feel it too at times but know it is irrational.
Not so long ago I was invested in many oil related companies, and held only AFC on the green side. I then started to move to greener investments thinking of future potential. I've seen other companies produce great products and it has taken some time before things start to really move and interest peaks.
When I look at 2020 so far, I've seen headline after headline about the climate, reducing carbon emissions, big companies the latest being Microsoft now saying they will be carbon negative. The more this happens the more pressure this puts on other companies and governments. It is no longer acceptable to just say you'll do something, people want to see positive action now. These large companies are also being singled out for still investing in fossil fuel related companies, this will have to change direction too.
AFC have been working on their product(s) for many years, refining an already proven technology. They have continued improving it, even when at times I thought it was over or people may not truly move towards a more sustainable future. The technology is no doubt market leading in its field, and as this year progresses I cannot see why interest would not grow in their products, word will get out there. I can only see an exponential growth in interest if the products deliver what they promise.
Whether the future is hydrogen cars (likely) or battery, we can argue the pros and cons, the fact is that there will now be a huge push in EV production and many more will be on the roads. This may be a temporary fix whilst other technologies are improved, during which time all of AFCs technologies will improve as they continue to refine the products.
In 5 or 10 years we'll have new politicians, new CEOs, all with different mindsets, who knows what that future will hold. I'd love to see some positive action immediately, though for those of us who have been here many years, a bit more time won't hurt.
When I look at the situation, we are invested in a company that has finally got products ready to go after fine tuning them for a long period of time, the products answer many of the questions being asked in daily headline news stories. And all this has happened in the year, or decade when it finally seems the tide has turned and things will change. I can only see positives.
For me a little patience goes a long way now. A few months on a few years already is not much to ask myself.
P.S the brexit point made a good bit of sense to me too!
