Charles Jillings, CEO of Utilico, energized by strong economic momentum across Latin America. Watch the video here.
These guys are chancers with a Social Justice Warrior agenda who just happened to be in the right place, right time with Unilad and got lucky. I'll bet the Chief Business Officer spends more time pruning his beard than he does thinking about share holder returns. Would never invest here in a million years. All just my opinion ofc. DYOR. GLA ;)
Bought a small handful at 0.77.
GLA.
Market Cap...Market Cap...Market Cap
Oooh nice...looking a little better. :)
Great story Dip...nice to hear this worked out for you. Yeah, I reckon I can do better than Legal and General who have managed slightly negative growth (!) for me since 2014. Regardless of what happens, it's gonna be a lot more excitement this way!
I opened a SIPP today and transferring a small pot from a pension I had a few years back and kind of half forgot about. A slow slide to 6p over the next 2 weeks while I wait for the transfer to hit would be just perfect! Either way, in 2 weeks... 6p or 12p, I'm buying a bunch....
Placing - £330k raised for Loch Tay at 4.25p per share.
It rose on low volume for the most part so rise fragile. At the same time, I have a watchlist of 20 miners, mostly gold or some gold within their portfolio like Thor, some of them tiny, some in the middle and some huge market caps. Every single one is showing red today and FTSE 100 having dropped 3.5% yesterday is down 1.9% again today. Whole market is down...reality of COVID19 fallout on economy sinking in imho.
***Offers have been received, and due diligence is in progress.***
The short term game is to keep going. Personally, I'm attaching a bit of weight to the above statement with regards to this. I could be wrong ofc...
The long term game is to make a success of SOMETHING...there are a few different ways for that to happen already in the pipeline...but of course it is a possibility that none of them will come good...
Well yeah, it could be a placing and that would be way preferable and much more likely to happen than going bust, I reckon...
Personally, not worried and just bought in although I've derisked a little on the recent rise. But others who have been here longer and are understandably feeling frustrated may take a different view....
RNS point 8.8
Has the entity taken any steps, or does it propose to take any steps, to raise further cash to fund its operations and, if so, what are those steps and how likely does it believe that they will be successful?
Answer: Thor holds a production royalty entitlement, from the Spring Hill Gold project, of $13.30 per ounce of gold produced while the gold price is above $1,500 per ounce (otherwise $5.70 per ounce). The owners of the Spring Hill project have advised that they are progressing mine permitting, and also that the treatment plant for toll processing the ore has been refurbished and is production ready. Thor has engaged with several royalty companies who have expressed interest in acquiring this royalty entitlement from Thor.
********Offers have been received, and due diligence is in progress.********** (my highlighting)
3. Does the entity expect to be able to continue its operations and to meet its business objectives and, if so, on what basis?
Answer: The Company expects to continue operations and to meet its business objectives on the basis of the imminent finalisation of the sale of the Spring Hill royalty, together with other alternatives being considered to raise funds.
Or maybe the US is now the blocker...

Hello board. Made some money playing around with BPC back in 2011. Been having a think about how the will from the Bahamas govt for them to go ahead just didn't seem to be there before and how it kept getting pushed back and the emphasis the govt placed on potential threat to their tourism industry. So just wondering what with COVID19 and news like this....

...what are people's thoughts? I need to catch up on what's been happening too if anyone can give me a quick summary ;)
Same boat - it's annoying but was always a risk buying on a 100% spike. Depending on how much you have in just accept it hold, relax and play the medium to long game imho, dyor etc...
Sat on a loss right now! Defo sticking around. Note to self - get up earlier in the morning!
You will see from my chat history that 9 years or so ago I was in a very similar position with a company called CWR. I averaged down at -50%, it dropped further and then I sat on the 90% loss for about 2 years before just selling. Those shares are now worth 3.5x the highest price I paid and 35x the bottom that got hit. Ofc, different company, different situation. But think carefully, DYOR and GL....
GWMO is on my watchlist too.
In Thor too - looks good and we've had decent rises last few days although gold is not the main play.
I've done alright factoring in sentiment in the past....also I've lost money when fundamentals were there but sentiment just wasn't ;)
Sure thing, nothing guaranteed...I'm not a day trader and happy to hold em for a while....I like the sector they are in and the fact they are doing some exploring in this country....seems like a good recipe for AIM right now...
Probably not too late...look at the market cap! Is it likely to trend down from here? Not much money to play with but I just bought a handful at 7.8p. :)
