thanks for your post..reaffirms a lot of my research...cheers!
Cheers for that...I am actually less nervous about this than other shares I have invested in that have been down less but where I have more concerns / less faith in the company. I am pretty well researched here and 100% happy to be here other than the fact I am nearly 50% down if that makes any sense at all!!!! I rarely average down as I don't believe in backing a loser and don't have any spare cash anyway. That said there is no way I am selling at this price which is too low and does not reflect the potential of the company at all. These could be huge in 2 to 3 years - shame the market is not pricing that in at all. :(
Cheers mate...please post following your meeting - will be appreciated!!! At least it's bounced back a bit today - in for the long term whatever but helps my short term nerves!
This is pretty painful now...sat on near on a 50% loss - on paper this is now my worst ever investment. Shareprice now values the company at equal to net cash and short term investments...everything else apparently worthless. Not enjoying this one bit but rightly or wrongly I believe in the company and the fundamentals and will continue holding...not nice though. Any other still on board or all jumped ship???
Just read the RNS in full. The technical problems mentioned in the trials seem to be in hand with potential solutions already in the pipeline. Net cash and short term investments = £34m. Market cap = £53m. This is the most frustrating share in the world but I have held and added for nearly a year now and fundamentals remain strong imo. Ceres time will surely come and I will continue to hold.
Interesting but cannot find this confirmed anywhere. How do you know this?
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sponsored/business/workingforchange/8323727/Britain-could-lead-world-in-offshore-wind-power.html West Sussex-based Ceres Power is hoping to be just such a global winner. Its innovative and highly efficient combined heat and power units, which generate electricity, hot water and space heating for homes by converting natural gas using fuel-cell technology, have the potential to shave hundreds of pounds a year from household utility bills. British Gas has ordered 37,000 units, Ceres is on the verge of going into large scale production and the potential market is vast, said the firm’s chief executive officer, Peter Bance. “Today 1.5million boilers are replaced each year in the UK and we can attack most of that market. Although Ceres looks well placed to grow rapidly, its fight to commercialise its innovations is instructive for others developing novel energy-efficiency and renewables technologies. “We hope to be the next Intel of the power world but getting to where we are has been a struggle,” said Mr Bance.
Dunno, but I was lucky enough to make some short term cash of SAR and I've just used some of it to top up here.
Field trials have started...will the share price still refuse to move!? http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail.html?announcementId=10776535
RNS is encouraging. Hardly any funds but figured growth potential is huge so have bought a very small number this morning.
Can't believe share price has barely moved in the last month or so given the newsflow. Ahh well, if I can get some more 0% credit card deals sorted quickly enough I think this looks good for buying another stash! :)
My understanding is that British Gas have agreed to market the Ceres Boiler and nothing more. It seems they have also agreed to market the Baxi which has reached the market first. Based on my research I believe the Ceres boiler is likely to be a better product than the Baxi and I'm hoping it will be offered at a much lower price but nothing is certain and time will tell. Based on my research into Ceres I have faith that they will produce a top quality product and the time taken to bring it to market will be worth it in the end. This is all just my opinion so DYOR :)
Loads of interesting stuff here... http://www.delta-ee.com/downloads/Delta_Energy_and_Environment_Ecobuild_Seminar_Micro_CHP_status_and_opportunity_for_the_UK.pdf
Sorry maybe I misundersand...are you saying Ceres technology inside the Baxi. I don't think this is the case..it is Stirling as chasbmw says...if this is what you are saying have you got a link???
This one???? http://www.yougen.co.uk/blog-entry/1464/Long+awaited+Baxi+Ecogen+Micro-CHP+unit+launched/ Dunno, can you tell us????
http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail.html?announcementId=10744020 Up 5% today on this news but we are still at the bottom end of the recent trading range. This adds a bit more certainty to those here who have the faith and should encourage those who have not had enough confidence so far to buy in. Hoping to see a rise to at least 85p as a minimum by the end of January now. GLA
Can't see it being an issue tbh, they know that they have to sort it so they will. AGM not far off, maybe some newsflow regarding this and general progress then. Not happy with the share price but I've been in shares that have frustrated me before and my mistake has always been cutting my losses / cashing in too early and not trusting my initial research. Some companies are just better at newsflow than others too - doesn't mean the ones that can't get the newsflow right are bad investments - just more frustrating in the short term. Sticking it out here stubbornly, rightly or wrongly. What do you think?
Down nearly 8% on volume of 38,000. Ridiculous!!
Cheers mate, I have thought about SGP several times but decided not for me. I am already in both DPL and PXS, both just with a very small stake. Unfortunately had a look at my current account at the weekend and have work coming up on my house so have had to cut my losses on RUR and topsliced my BMR to cover it this morning...no funds free, otherwise would consider throwing a bit more at DPL / PXS. Take care mate.
My decision paid off...gone from a pf that was 15% up to more than 75% up. Well happy and taken some out to go on holiday in Jan :). I do miss the steady plodders a bit though...can't believe price for this is back in the 430s...now back on my watchlist for a possible buy-back-in. GL mate. Hope you are making money generally :)
