great stuff :)
..even nicer to have some action on the board...hello peeps! :) Latest news looks good to me!
This and GRG are my two safe and steady (ish!) plodders. At the other end of the scale I'm in BPC which is a crazy volatile share at the moment - massive long term potential but early days yet. Also in ACTA, BGO, CWR, CHAR, COV, MATD and RKH. How about urself? Apart from COV which I'm in on a gamble really and don't know much about, I'm pretty bullish on all these, probably most excited to be in CHAR, MATD and CWR..some reservations about BGO purely due to its current market cap rather than its overall potential. How about yourself?
Cerespower mate - again many thanks in advance. Mate I lost fifty quid in CNT. Neither of us are fools - we both took a calculated risk. It could have gone either way and the potential upside was huge. You don't get the big rewards without a little risk - or in your case - a clever play and therefore zero risk! Don't worry about it dude :)
Cheers mate. You can use the name of this company all one word at hushmail dot com. Appreciated.
Welcome aboard, it tends to be a slow steady ride! Good luck. :)
Hi mate, good to have company! Strange day here today..normally fairly stable but price increased sharply on fairly low volume from what i could see then finished just up a little bit. It seemed a little unusual - interesting to read your post at 17:58 whether right or wrong. :)
Think I'm in here on my own but anyone no any reason for today's rise????
These will be my first ever dividends. woohoo!
..just seen they've dropped a bit today...that was not a sarcastic comment by me by the way!!! I know you will have benefitted from a really decent rise yesterday :)
Well done on Yell mate!! Must really start looking into all this chart stuff myself!
Good work on your CNT daytrade mate...nice one! Currently in ACTA, BGO, BPC, this, CHAR, COV, GRG, MATD, RKH and UKM, some more heavily than others...and of course a pocketful of CNT. Had some spare cash to top up here with at about these levels but car failed its MOT quite spectacularly and have ended up forking out £2.5k on a new one....this cash was meant to be being held back for CWR / to jump in on a general market crash (if there is one) in the coming months...ah well. Looked at my cash in / cash out + current PF value the other night. At the time I was 15.2% up overall since April when I started so can't complain. I have got the fear a bit about markets generally though but am hoping the stocks I'm in will be fairly resilient if the worst happens.
Nothing has changed here....still in for the longhaul personally at the moment. Portfolio took a right bashing today though, courtesy of this and BPC. On the brightside I upped my ten squid in CNT to a fifty quid gamble and that's looking like it might pay off...maybe! Still in COV on a complete gamble also but with more invested. If I can sell my COV at <60p and buy in here at >79p I might just do so. On a late shift tomorrow so can watch the prices a bit...if not will sit it out a bit more with COV and see what happens. Mikey are you short on YELL by any chance???
Agree....similar experience and much more enjoyable research than trying to make head or tail of a seismic survey...I am a bit bitter as my BPC have dropped about 30% today! The food is good value too - important at the moment I think. Nice rise today on here, now into profit for the time being.
Think DPL will come good for you mate, just a matter of time. I have also looked back at earlier trades - only been doing this since April and am shocked at some of the moves I made back then!!! Still, you learn from your mistakes and fortunately I got lucky with RKH and overall am sat on a tidy % gain over the 5 month period. My weakness is charts / TA and I tend to rely on other people with regards to this - need to up my game in this area. I also have a problem with discipline and can be a bit reckless e.g. buying COV yesterday - looks like it will work out fine for me but that might not have been the case. Still got a tenner riding on CNT...lol!
I was in DPL pre-spud, got nervous over the fighting in Uganda and bailed out at breakeven about 2 days before the results. Looks good for the potential of the offshore blocks in Tanzania but I'm not in as I am too exposed to offshore oil exploration companies and don't think we've seen the full aftermath of the BP disaster yet - possible tighter global regulation coming imo??? Didn't realise YELL was that low!!? Last had a peek in there at 26p...like you say I reckon it will probs end in tears IMHO.
Have you been in DPL since before the last spud??? I bought into Cov yesterday just because it had a massive drop on what seemed like good news and could not see a reason for it so sensed a treeshake and thought I'd have a punt. In there at 60p. This morning RNS out and they have found hydrocarbons but shareprice hardly moved yet...DPL are up more on COV news so far!!! As for YELL, TA aside (not my strong point!) cannot think of one good reason to invest there on the face of it....it is surely obsolete now....there's this thing called google???
77.0 - 81.75. hmmmmm
Cheers for that...sorry my chartism is very rudimentary but I think I get it - downward trend and we're up at the top end of the moving average so in theory should head back down again??? Thing is, I like the fundamentals here. Greggs is a formula that works and just needs to be duplicated more imho. Personally and again IMHO I think it's gotta start trending upwards again....I know my earlier posts probably make me sound like a daytrader / swing trader but I'm not really, just like to declare myself in and if it starts going up then like to comment :)
