The worry is that it’s all been “war gamed” by the WEF
On 18th October 2019, the WEF and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation hosted “Event 201” to plan for a Coronavirus pandemic scenario”. Simultaneously, the 2019 Military World Games were opening in Wuhan, China.
In July 2021, the WEF and a number of major financial organisations hosted scenario planning for cyber disruption in the fantastically interlinked global digital ecosystems that control everything from supply chains to financial markets. Delegates included financial, healthcare and educational institutions, state and law enforcement agencies, energy suppliers, companies from IT, metal, telecom, chemical, aerospace engineering and other sectors.
The agenda stated:
“Digital ecosystems are being created all around us: countries, corporations and individuals are taking advantage of the rapid spread of the Internet and smart devices. In this context, a single vulnerable link is enough to bring down the entire system, just like the domino effect.”
So now we have a supply chain crisis in petrol, food, energy and a huge panic in social media circles this week when Facebook, etc went offline for several hours. How would we survive with no internet?

I think we’ve been through this before. We are on a list of tests that have CE certification, but I have never found us on any official list of tests recommended by any Goverment. Please supply a link if you have one.

How much longer can U.K. Gov maintain a position whereby the sovereign NHS lateral flow test is not deemed suitable to test people for travel? What kind of message does that send?

@Bighero that pesky PCR has already ruined our LFT for the past 28 months. HUA will coincide with PCR either being phased out or dialled down to same CT level as AffiDX.

But the PCR test is used to declare someone Covid positive or not.
AS had been educating us for 2 years now that anything above 28 CT is unlikely to be infectious. But are people given their CT scores along with their PCR results? No. That would be too transparent and easily shot down in flames.

@Zoom Smith is is indeed a clever chap. How could he launch “the world’s most accurate LFT” while PCR was considered the “gold standard”? A negative AffiDX result followed up by a positive PCR test (amplified to 40 cycles). Would have made Avacta’s test seem as unreliable as Innova’s. Thus it makes sense to wait until PCR testing is dialled down to more accurate levels.

Jeez! Why are both CDC and DHSC a insisting on using PCR then? It’s long been established (even by its inventor) that PCR a should not be used for diagnosis - and yet they do.
Meanwhile, doesn’t it strike you as even vaguely misleading that there should be two different scales used - one for vaccinated and one for non vaccinated?

CDC is setting the infectiousness level for VACCINATED people at 28. For the non-vaccinated, it’s still 40. That’s why I put in an FOI request to see whether our CT level had changed. As soon as DHSC adopt 28 CT as official infectiousness limit, it ushers in the opportunity for Avacta’s LFT to be used, as the results will match PCR.

If SARS-CoV-2 sequencing will not be performed locally and a specimen is available, the state public health laboratory should request the residual clinical respiratory specimen for subsequent shipping to CDC.
For cases with a known RT-PCR cycle threshold (Ct) value, submit only specimens with Ct value =28 to CDC for sequencing.

Of course, another possibility is that they have followed the USA protocol and have dialled down PCR sequencing to max 28 cycles (from 40) in order to reduce the incidence of positive tests in the fully vaccinated.
I did put on a freedom of information request to see of DHSA had plans to do this, but have only had a holding reply.
