Doze, I can imagine that behind the scenes, AS has been having this argument until he’s blue in the face. I imagine also that, as we all discussed long, long ago, he would not have wanted to launch a self use test where results would be contradicted by PCR testing as this would have ruined the reputation of the Affimer platform.

Just to make it really clear for you, if instructed not to send any samples above 28 CT for genetic sequencing, then the original PCR a test will need to be set at 28 for those individuals.

Why don’t you do something useful like put in your own POI request to establish PCR a levels before and after Avacta get HUA? That way you can call BS if I’m wrong.

Why is this relevant to Avacta? Because our Gov also uses PCR set at 40 CT cycles. PCR is widely held to be the gold standard. Therefore how could Avacta launch a 'world beating test' when PCR 'confirmation' will not match its results?
As I have suggested before, Avacta will get HUA and full product launch when our Gov decides to lower PCR detection rate to the same rate that AffiDX is designed to detect.

It seems that the State of Oregon have filed a Grand Jury petition against the CDC and FDA for inflating Covid death statistics by use of PCR at 40CT.
Letter states:
Our brave frontline healthcare workers are effectively handcuffed when the PCR tests we are providing them are both inaccurate and unable to distinguish who is infectious from who may have been previously infected but recovered. It has been proven that the current COVID RT-PCR tests, set to a cycle threshold (Ct) of 40 by the FDA and CDC, generate false positive results due to the Ct value being set too high. To further complicate matters, the CDC has elected to set the Ct value to 28 when testing samples from vaccinated Americans. This creates two different standards of measurement. Firstly, the higher threshold of measurement generates false positives resulting in inflated numbers of COVID cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. Secondly, the lower threshold of measurement acts to eliminate false positive results and
thereby reduces the number of vaccine “breakthrough” cases. These facts make it virtually impossible for the public to trust the data they are being presented and the public health policies based upon this data.[14] [15] [16]

Well, I guess that - unlike the FDA - we haven’t seen fit to do a product recall!

Curious though that there’s no mention of this welsh factory since early June if I do an internet search.
