What should be the headline figure is the excess mortality rate from all causes. How many people are currently dying of cancer due to lockdowns? How many people are being hospitalised for causes other than Covid and then contracting it within hospitals - only to become part of the Covid fatality statistics? There is no data about this person who died yesterday other than that they tested positive for Omicron. My question would be....yes....and what else?

Boosters may be a logical intervention for certain at-risk age groups and clinically vulnerable, but I fail to see the logic of an argument that we shoud pump these shots into the arms of the young and healthy because their effectiveness wanes over time. Better just to let the healthy young get the virus and defeat it naturally.

But 'flu is annual and costs around £6 per shot whereas Pfizer $24 every 3-6-months plus £15 per jab to the GP. It's unsustainable.

All the Government needs to do is waive the demand that care home workers be ‘fully jabbed’, give them their jobs back and free up the 10,000 hospital beds currently occupied by elderly people who have no care home bed to be released to.

But ODX also waiting on HUA. We hear nothing because home use authorisation of a hugely accurate lateral flow test could distract from vaccine rollout (which is bizarrely the be-all and end-all of government Policy)
The same logic is driving vaccine passes whereby only being jabbed counts, regardless of whether someone has recovered naturally from the illness and has a superior antibody count. The linking of an LFT to the passport plan was obviously an afterthought and I don’t expect it to last. They literally want everyone to be jabbed.
