Somehow, the Chinese tests seem to fit in with PCR confirmation. Suggest that this means Chinese tests are very useful when U.K. Gov wants to ramp up fear.

I wonder why Alistair Smith makes this point so specifically in the business update of June 21? When referring to AffiDX,he states:

To me, it kind of suggests that other tests can’t differentiate?

MrA (limp Willy) is a far bigger fearmonger than I have ever been. I suspect him of being a government agent. The accepted wisdom of virology is that viruses become less lethal as they become more contagious. Just take vitamin D and don’t let the fear in.

Why’s that then? So that they would drop their threatened lawsuit against U.K. GOV for ‘stonewalling’ accurate lateral flow tests? The history of this pandemic will boil down to the vagaries of testing. It has been a pandemic of inaccurate PCR testing, with accurate LFTs effectively sidelined for the duration.

How can a government manipulate a 100% accurate test done at home? They can’t, so it doesn’t get approved. Simples.

Heard this evening that by end Jan, everyone eligible will have been offered jabs. That’s when I expect HUA approval.

Watching that felt like the old optimistic days. If only I could be as dismissive as Gervais about the fact that the testing market is swamped with cheapo Chinese tests thanks to Bethel and Han****.

Most likely we will see many Governments around the world pushing for a) an increase in the number of boosters and b) reducing the time between one jab and the next.

Interestingly, Lisa Nandy, our new shadow Michael Gove has today come up with the barnstorming idea that people should take tests just before boarding an airplane. Genius!

Back in July, CDC announced that it was withdrawing EUA for PCR testing and that other types of test should be used instead
