We all pinned our hopes on Neale after FDA kicked out Innova and their EUA contract was due to expire here. His was the only voice in favour of U.K. diagnostics. It was his question during Prime Minister’s Questions that famously elicited the reply from Boris that: “We are working night and day to support the U.K. diagnostics industry.” That when I first realised that Boris’s pants are permanently on fire!

Of course I hadn’t thought of this angle, but maybe they just want to stop mass gatherings altogether…What say you Govt Agent Ginge?

Yes, this is just a perfect example of why the gov foisted the Chinese crap on us. They are sufficiently unreliable to force people to believe that vaccination is the only way out of this. (Except that people are wising up to the fact that the jabs being given are not stopping the spread.) Accurate LFTs could go a long way to stopping spread, but if they are too accurate, they become an ‘anti vax’ weapon.

Granted, the BBC article is from 2020, but Indian one describes how they reduced death rates in many states very quickly during the peak in 2021. Suggest you read it and whisper in the ears of Vallance and Whitty.

Indeed I do. I seem to remember the BBC portraying funeral pyres in the street without mentioning anything about societal context. I am also aware of how both India and Japan fixed their Covid problems very quickly by giving everyone a very cheap treatment which has been thoroughly discredited by big pharma and other vested interests. I then remember that the situation in India turned around so miraculously that the BBC had to publish a ‘fact check’ on why Indian deaths were so low. They basically concluded that Indians can’t count. I’ll try and dig out the article.

@Eastside. If only there were some 'at home' treatment protocols that could reduce the panic. You would think that after 2 years of this we could do better than just telling people to sit tight until their lips turn blue due to lack of oxygen.

I seem to remember that (in addition to the never used Nightingale Hospitals) the Gov bought up nearly all the capacity of UK private hospital beds. Here is a report on the value for money we got from that. It's almost as though they are deliberately setting out to bankrupt us.
