The LFT tests that have passed Porton Down have been ‘confirmed’ in the field against an already faulty PCR test which generates many false positives. One must therefore ask whether Porton Down approval procedures were deliberately skewed towards LFTs that also generated high levels of positives?

Question is: have they stopped external flights this time?

Breaking the link between LFT testing and PCR “confirmation” is, to my mind, good news for Avacta. This, plus the fact that Boris has declared the booster target as “achieved” makes me think that we might get positive news soon.

@TF wouldn’t surprise me. The higher the number of false positives, the more likely to deliver similarly over-sensitive results to the PCR tests set at 40 thermal cycles. How could Avacta launch “the world’s best LFT” if false positive (but “gold standard”) PCR results were going to contradict it?
