I have to say that reading the other ‘Covid testing stocks’ BBs, dissatisfaction with the CEO is a recurring theme. (With some real vitriol reserved for Colin King at ODX). But it’s increasingly obvious that U.K. small-cap DX was hamstrung by U.K. Gov. one could almost believe it was a deliberate hatchet job until you observe that all Govs seem to be in lockstep with a choreographed response to this pandemic. Same errors, same reliance on Chinese tests, same vaccine coercion, same kowtowing to big pharma.

So lay off AS, he’s just been an unfortunate pawn. The real blinder was played by Mologic - threatening court action and then getting bought out. Nice response to impossible circumstances.

Oh, and ordering more crap LFTs from China

Remember when the extension of Govt emergency powers was nodded through Parliament without even a debate? Well, according to the Institute for Government:
“The term “emergency powers” usually refers to government powers to respond rapidly to a public emergency by:
- making regulations without an act of parliament
- taking actions without complying with statutory duties that it would normally have to comply with
- taking actions that it would not normally be allowed to take.”

I suppose that includes things like awarding highly-paid advisory positions to friends, contracts to cronies, ‘losing’ mobile phones and email trails and generally wallowing in corruption.

Seems like the these guys have been doing their best to lobby U.K. Gov in favour of smaller U.K. DX industries:

“ABHI acknowledges concerns over the existing validation process for, and the quality of, some COVID-19 tests that are currently being supplied, and support action to remove poor quality tests from the market.

“However, implementation of CTDA has disproportionately and unfairly damaged the UK diagnostics industry.

Only one in ten large companies have no products listed, compared with two thirds of smaller ones.

“The confused and confusing implementation of the legislation has restricted the UK supply of COVID-19 tests to a few larger companies at the expense of smaller ones. Smaller companies now feel restricted in their ability to quickly bring new products and ideas to the market. By disproportionately affecting smaller businesses, this legislation has undermined confidence in the aim of the Life Science Vision to build a robust UK diagnostics industry.”

Well all I can say is that this will be a good test of whether media organisations that have signed up to “The Trusted News Initiative” can mention something that would be a powerful “Non-medical Intervention” at a time when all the emphasis is on “Medical” intervention.

Regarding number 3, apparently a new Turkish ‘extracted molecular’ test was approved on Christmas Eve. (“Working night and day (and bank holidays) to support the British diagnostics industry”).

Looks like a fake UT to dampen down the excitement. I expect they’ll have trouble reigning it in tomorrow though.

Bearing in mind the reports that the Chinese Vaccine doesn't work on Omicron I wouldn't be surprised if they are stopping exports of their tests …who, the Chinese? You’ve got to be kidding. Anyway, Chinese tests were all paid for up front- unlike contracts with U.K. DX.

GDR is motoring with its CTDA approval in the bag.

We have approval for professional use - as did Innova before the Gov repurposed the test and broke all the rules.
