Until such time as the WHO removes Covid 19 from the list of notifiable diseases, it must be monitored and reported ... and that means tested for.

Of course, the cynical might say that vaccine roll-out is the ideal time to switch from a gold standard test (PCR) that identifies any evidence of Covid even when ho longer infectious to a different one (BAMS?) which limits the window of detection to the period of peak infectiousness, thereby proving that figures are coming down and vaccine is having an effect.

This is a good Michael Mina interview. Interestingly, he would prefer to see LFT tests being developed without the plastic casing (paper strip only) (facepalm for AS no doubt!)
Also good distinction drawn between PCR (diagnostic sensitivity) and antigen (contagiousness sensitivity).

Certainly doesn’t look leaky for good news before year end. Other Covid stocks looking more robust in anticipation of Oxford vaccine arrival. That said, I am still a committed LTH.
