Once Avacta’s two main platforms are more widely known and proven to work, it will be a NASDAQ listing that will put a rocket under the share price.
It’s US buying (on the OTC) that’s fuelling ARB at the moment, and the expectation that NASDAQ will multiply the SP again!

If they’ve secretly put orchestrated the mass production of a sovereign test that is a world beater in terms of S&S and all the companies involved are U.K. based, best of British science. If we can now demonstrate that we will be fully equipped to test for Covid outbreaks on an ongoing basis, as well as any future viruses of concern, why on earth would Bojo not milk that for all it’s worth?

Like you London Balling, I got into this stock trading business to compensate for loss of job due to Covid. I first bought this share at sub 5p because it was doing nothing. Even back then, Peter Wall was responsive to shareholder requests and he bought more shares to prove his faith in the company (that move hasn’t done him any harm ;-) ). Sadly, I sold out to participate in what I thought was going to be the imminent 3 bag(+) sale of EUA a which still hasn’t happened. Kicking myself for taking my eye off the rocket! Never mind, I’ve done well from it recently and EUA is still on the cards for any of you wanting a bit of diversification!

Thank you CC. A lot to digest there! At the start of lockdown, I bought a set of silver coins commemorating the first 25 years of the reign of Elizabeth II from an online auction. (Certificated Birmingham mint.) When I went to pick them up, I was surprised by how beautiful they were. They are lovely to hold and I love the way that each coin tells its own story! I would like to find out whether a second 25 year collection was produced. Thanks again for all the info. I will copy and paste into a reference document. I guess my original question was hard to answer. Hope we never a time where the gov is seizing gold....but it has been known and history repeats. Anyway, I’m sure nobody would doubt that your collection (and enthusiasm) is genuine.

I know that we live in bat**** crazy times at the moment, and that’s one of the reasons why crypto is going to the moon. I read somewhere that when a government decides to confiscate gold from citizens, it doesn’t do it in the case of coin collectors. I just wondered if you have any insight you could share into what exactly constitutes a “collection” in the eyes of the law. (We have a coin auction coming up locally soon and I thought about ploughing some ARB proceeds into coins.)

As has been said many a time on this board, it's all about what's in the ground and that's not going anywhere. The SP should therefore be rising and falling to reflect the value of what we believe is in the ground. Instead it seems to be divorced from this reality and SP yoyoing is just a game being played by the MMs. Makes you wonder if they take bets about what volume of sales they can get next time they artificially take it up to 26p. (Tell a lie 25.98. They don't even offer a round number!)

Mass testing is all over the media today. Frankly, anyone with an accurate test will do well. As a long-standing shareholder in Avacta, I've seen that it's the manufacturing side of things that seems to be the problem. It seems to be a long journey from clinical validation to getting a mass-produced test out there in the marketplace. However, the Govt have engaged PA Consulting to ramp up lateral flow test manufacturing. As many point out on here it is the speed of the Paraytec test that is its main attraction. It will almost certainly be on the radar of Gov and big pharmas.

I can’t help wondering whether the U.K. consortium has been persuaded to provide the ‘sovereign test’ on a not for profit basis - in much the same way as AstraZeneca has for the Oxford Vaccine? This could mean that the initial batches generate no profit and draw the sting from the tail of those saying that the Gov is just wasting more money. This could be why AS is preparing the ‘sweetener’ of a for profit test ready to go in Europe.

By the way, AstraZeneca’s commitment to not taking a profit is apparently ‘for the duration of the pandemic’ but they have the right to declare the pandemic over when they see fit.

It will be interesting to see whether Ursula Von der Leyen decides that it is acceptable for individual nations to test entire populations. After all, it can surely only work with closed borders, so where does that leave Schengen? Interesting poll embedded in the article. Take it and see the result.
