I have a sneaky suspicion that the leak may have come from Abingdon. After all, our SP was down on Friday ,whereas theirs climbed 14% (having opened down 2%). The only place where the journalists mention sources is here:

It seems that a number of holders here also hold ODX as it was pretty clear that they would get the manufacturing contract for whichever test was chosen. Frankly, though, the long term potential lies here. Avacta has a unique diagnostics proposition in the Affimer platform (now confirmed by winning the race to supply the most accurate Covid test) as well potential ground-breaking advances in cancer therapy. MrsKob, it’s a bit spooky how these boards do that isn’t it? My partner was telling me that he needed to have his ears syringed, so I looked up Hopi candles. Now I’m plagued with disgusting graphic ads for earwax removal all over the place. Hopefully, as we discuss our future Avacta wealth, I will get a better class of ad. (I’m already seeing ads for house extensions. Funny that!)

That’s the absolute key question. Avacta first indicated that it had a great Covid diagnostic test back in June. Lining up manufacturing takes forever, and is Braveheart investment company in a position to do this for Paraytec after the big dividend giveaway? I suspect they will be looking for a quick sale of the concept to a large pharma if results are good.

@Wilson63 Innova’s test was always intended for use by professionals due to the fact that it requires a nasopharyngeal swab (brain tickler). Therefore when used in the field by non professionals, accuracy/sensitivity falls. Avacta’s test is Lower Nasal (nose picking depth). There should be no fall in accuracy with home use or use at cinema, night club....wherever.

One way or another, Monday is going to be great. But rather than have BumblIng Boris attempting to describe the brilliant science behind our new sovereign LFT, please can we have Sir Al on the podium next to him, replacing the evil Mekon, Chris Whitty?
