Certainly seems that way! Some of these guys get so emotional when faced with reality. Those that are counting on the FCA or Freeh to save them from their own local of due diligence, or greed, are only kidding themselves.

My point exactly, sadly the social pressures of giving their clients favourable ratings by auditors and regulators clouds their judgement... and understandably so, it takes a brave person to highlight negative aspects on a client who is paying you millions in most cases... the people who do are conveniently pushed out and their careers ruined... not saying they do it on purpose but sometimes it’s easier to just ignore red flags than risk your career trying to expose them.

Not really, because MW highlighted what needs fixing and brought the company back to true fair value. Don’t be mad at the messenger. If ofcourse they are totally wrong, which they could well be, then yes be mad at them. Although then they just created an amazing buying opportunity!

I worked for a long time for a large investment house, all these companies, auditors, regulators are all part of an “old boys club” looking out for each other and drawing on favours. If you think it’s all legit and truly independent then sorry to say this, but you are delusional. Open your mind to the fact that this could well be the next Sino Forest and just be prepared that you could lose the lot.

I’m saying the rating has no bearing on whether it’s a fraud or not. Short-sellers are realists, they believe the market finds the truth themselves... which is what’s sadly happening with NMC. If they are indeed fraudsters, then we should be mad at the company, auditors and regulators, not muddy waters. They have just highlighted some dodgy activity, and could ofcourse be wrong, only time will tell. For now, the market has decided.

Yes, I am is stating there’s a very real chance of them having engaged in fraudulent activity, I’ve read the muddy waters report a number of times as well as james @ jefferies work in full, and took my position based on that... I haven’t changed my mind - I’m long ffs! (Albeit hedged) - I want it to bounce, but also have faced the reality that it could collapse and be suspeneded

Thanks preserve capital, people that ramp and come up with imaginative price targets based on their own hope are much worse in my view, because your sucking others in when really you have no clue and are just in far too deep yourself...

Common guys, I don’t need to spread doom and gloom, the share price and the market has already done that - I t’s the only thing that matters. I’m just facing the sad facts... equally ramping this up based on unsubstantiated “hope” of a bounce on Monday is much worse!

Firstly, for the record, I am long. So not a deramper/shorter. I do however have a put option with strike at 500p (bought @ £11, which is luckily protecting me.
And yes, I have changed my mind on this, based on the facts, initially going long, then short, and now long again.
I want it to bounce as much as they rest of you, but we need to stop fake ramping using our emotions on this board, and just face the facts that as things stand, and from what the market believes, there’s a real possibility it’s a fraud and gets suspended. I’m just not ruling it out and trying to be objective and balanced in my analysis.

It’s a “paid-for investigation“... ofcourse it will broadly exonerate management !
