They could do up to 20 wells from a single pad. Also remember not all will be into the cane creek they also plan to produce from the overlying layers with a first test being performed at state 16.
I’d also expect them to drill laterals at federal 28 sometime in the future so that it can be produced from more actively.
The permit is still outstanding. While everyone is thinking there is no news until testing that could land in the next couple of weeks now that they have successfully completed drilling state 36.
I do believe however (as I have said previously) that they will be currently seeking an extension to the June 30 deadline as they are actively progressing this and can only award a rig contract once they have the permit. I think the deadline may be extended until December. But they will of course start the drilling preparation as soon as that permit is available.
They are taking this carefully and meticulously so everything is in place ready. Even the casing and cement job took a bit longer to make sure everything was set and ready. And they didn’t start the final section of drilling over a weekend when a lot of recreational users are in the area just in case of issues.
The final section is a short section and they know what to expect so will be ready. If they need to vent gasses again because of the high pressure then that is still ok and keeps things safe. Everything has been on schedule so far.
There were over 14 million options outstanding from various years at various prices. 2019 options are (mainly) the ones that have been exercised recently.
It’s an odd anomaly for sure and I’ve taken a look at it several times. It just doesn’t seem to follow the MO of previous well pads.
Fingers crossed though I’m expecting the actual one to appear. How soon… no idea. I feel bigger things are happening. Don’t believe anything, or anyone, has been sat idle.
Wouldn’t expect too much from the Coora wells. Will negate the decline of the other legacy assets but won’t prop up cascadura. Need the pipeline finished pronto for that… when they get the pipe.
Old COO selling all their options shares is certainly not a good look for the company.
CH has before said that State 36 has parallels to wells previously drilled in the area which intersected natural fractures. Although no two wells are the same, and we do not yet know the full hydrocarbon mix. You could look at the productivity of other wells as an idea of production flow.
Also when the production rate of this well drops they have the option to drill extended laterals into the Cane Creek as per the original plan.
They said that they’d revert to a similar drill method that they used on state 16-2 with the redrill. Exactly what that is I’m not sure of at this stage, but it appears to have been successful.
They appear to be within a few feet of the previous drill in both overall and true vertical depths.
They only drilled a 132ft lateral into the cane creek last time. They will attempt a little further this time but let’s see where they end up.
This is exactly how they drilled it last time with the short section after. It’s just that they had to report the significant kick they had and control with heavy mud and some flaring.
The section will now be being cased as at time of writing the rns they only had 155feet to go. I did expect this last section to be a little slower with having to follow the previous drill line but to be within 10 feet at the end is great work. They appear bang on schedule and expect completion by the end of the week.
Yes, the media post of the rig working away still was at an odd time with a completion RNS expected any day. Maybe it was just the Zephyr team reminding investors (current and potential) that they are nearly at a big turning point.
Whether they RNS on TD or on completion of the short lateral remains to be seen. However they could complete both over the weekend with it being a bank holiday.
Well if it is there then at least we know that they haven't started welding the pipeline together yet. Would explain the lack of rum tents on satellite! Definately running on T&T time.
Oldslow. Ahhh, phew. Never been called a troll by anyone so would have been a first.
I thought you meant adon30 aka thebold, inferring that I was the same person. Cross wires. Thanks for the clarification.
I have been on Char board recently as have found locations of both there latest drills. Shame the first one was aqueous. Again don’t read them too much as a lot of rubbish spouted among some other comments.
Oldslow really??! I certainly do not work in the oil industry or have any links to it.
I have been here since before MOU1 was drilled. I was the one that first found the location of the drill site. Maybe even old Sefton may remember me from back then.
So the FUD poster was thebold. I could work that out from when they first started posting. Unfortunately places like this are full of them. Just interested how people manage to flush out there details as saw a tweet from GRH this morning and wondered what was happening.
