Mk I’m happy with the mix. Based on the previous blowout I was expecting it to be gassy like state 16-2 so pleasantly surprised it has more liquids.

Can still provide the produced gas to the pipeline though.

Acidisation will clean up the remaining structure and provide even better flow rates. Colin touched on the previous incident which also increased the mud volumes in the well. This is also why the well took a lot longer to clean up as discussed previously.

The well can flow as is. But zephyr have spotted the issue compared to their modelling and fair play to them for looking to correct it and make things even better. This is what comes from have university and government agency links and grants.

It’s probably easier to wait for the figures as we don’t know what the state of testing was at that point. They could land any day…

I don’t really have much idea. From the pics it looks 10-15m high and diameter probably 8-10”. Although more likely towards the smaller size for internal diameter.

Think the minimum requirement is 6”

They have already applied for a tank battery some time back. I can not work out the status of it though.

Large flare visible on satellite images. Certainly a large heat signature from above. Seems bigger than when they were flowing Federal 28 but wait for results to confirm.

Cruicky. Mesa use mobile separators, so they will only flare the gas. There are also storage tanks for the liquids.

Agreed. They will be starting with restricted chokes to prevent damage to well bore and final clean up of the well with hydrocarbons flowing. All looking good.

The shallow gas zone would be the last to be tested anyway.....

What I’ve also spotted that’s interesting, is that other old (expired) wells into the cane creek. In acreage further south than Zphr. Several mining companies are using them to explore for lithium and other rare metals in various substructures. So even when the oils gone they are still hopeful of other reserves.

State 36 and federal 28 are already on gathering lines so could tie in straight away. They won’t however realise federal 28 full potential like that although it will produce. They could however produce from it for some months thus increasing revenue before drilling further laterals. This would be once concept testing complete at state 16.

Then back to state 16 to prove up overlying layers, such as the C9 layer. This could then increase reserves by 6-7 times as per Auctus note:

“In addition, the well has encountered the overlying reservoirs with a similar response as at the original well. 270 mmboe prospective resources have been estimated at the nine overlying reservoirs. This represents 6-7 times the contingent resources estimated in the Cane Creek reservoir, which was the target of the State 36-2R well.”

As you say, all coming together.

It’s funny how some instantly jumped on a small delay. Especially after waiting over a year since the previous drill.

For reference State 16 was put on flowback on 28th October and it was not until 11th November that it started producing hydrocarbons. And was still cleaning up.

From the RNS it is clear that all the equipment is functioning correctly, which was the trolls previous attack point, no failures and they are (again) being cautious with their approach as they have throughout the drill program.

Oilworker I think your point about using heavy fluids would add to the clean up. Plus they were a few feet off the previous drill which had to use heavy fluids to control the well. So they are cleaning up from two drills not one. Which may take a little longer.

They have however commenced the testing within the timelines they proposed as they said two weeks and have got started in 12 days. It is actually good of them to update the market from the previous rns rather than waiting another fortnight and saying that they aren’t quite ready to provide figures. That would have been more untrustworthy.

As for salt wash. I have said for the last couple of months that they will seek an extension to that timeline. So not unexpected at all.

Good news on rearranging the finances also as keeps things tidy.

Was certainly interesting to see the outline of the salt wash pad appear during recent rains. Just need that permit now….

Waiting on a permit. As I've said previously I would expect a 3-6 month extension on th ecommitment as it is in progress

The H&P drilling rig and equipment is starting to move from site, Then they'll bring further workover and test equipment onto site, if they are not doing it already.

Zphr aim is to unlock the paradox, cane creek and overlying layers by using unconventional methods hence the grants with universities and government institutions. The area was previously drilled conventionally and some wells flowed better than others. That is why there is existing infrastructure. If it was ‘wildcat’ none of this would exist.

In the case of a natural fracture however these will flow quite freely and in the future Zphr will be able to extend laterals into these wells to continue production (assuming they haven’t been taken over by then).

He1 seems to raise every few months. December, February, June… when’s the next?

Zephyr now has none ops and most have paid for themselves now. And Zphr has its own helium play to come.

It is a natural fracture well with high pressure. No need to run long or extended tests as they know what to expect from historical wells in the area. No point wasting flaring gas to run longer tests as this can be hooked up to pipelines. They just need a ‘feel’ for what the well can provide so they can then get moving with the gas processing facility specifications.

They already have rates for federal 28 and state 16.

It is not down today at all. It is the same price as end of day trading yesterday. It’s only because of a late reported trade from earlier in the day it ‘looks’ down. 3 seconds research can tell you this. There’s very little volume as most is now held tightly. MMs just trying to make a market for traders.
