I can't help but notice that we didn't experience a 'huge drop' on Monday as one person predicted. Was this the same person who repeatedly told us a 5p placing was imminent?

Someone in the Telegram group has stated that he bumped into DV in Melbourne yesterday - apparently he's there for a conference. So, not in Ecuador meeting the President.

He is not 'uber-bullish'. His enthusiasm has waxed and waned and has said on several occasions that he regrets not selling his entire holding instead of retaining about half.

However, the last of his public statements I heard was that he was encouraged by the new management team. As for whether he's selling - who knows? Although it would seem to be an odd time to do so.

Q, it's not a question of it being news, it's a regulatory requirement. Mind you, I'd like to know whose exercised the shares and whether it's because they need the cash and intend to sell them.

There's something distinctly farcical about this situation and they've ended up sounding like Network Rail. It's the wrong type of revocation.

Of course, it's early doors, but I haven't noticed a 'major drop'. In fact, it's up 3.3%.

Nal, let's break down your criticism of my posts.

1) ' We'll learn from their mistakes'. Are you suggesting we won't? Do you think our team would ignore the issues raised in the DPM saga? Of course they won't. In fact, this will prove very instructive for all other explorers.

2) Re my second post. The first sentence suggests he was making an assumption about the market and its reaction. He was. He may be proved right, but I was pointing out that the DPM situation is specific to them and has no direct relevance to either our, or any any other miners position. This is a fact - unless you know otherwise.

3) My second sentence is also a fact.

4) My final question was rhetorical, not sarcastic. I take it you understand the difference?

You accuse others of failing to recognise negatives. How about turning that on its head and asking yourself the question; why do I only see negatives and why don't I think a bit more carefully about what people actually say rather than leaping in with both feet?

SH, you're making the assumption the market will see this as a threat to the entire mining industry in Ecuador rather than being a specific issue related to the failings of one company. You should also bear in mind that although the revocation is news the suspension happened last week and our sp didn't see a 'huge drop'.

Question: Do you believe the government has suddenly turned anti-mining?

Nal, there's no question they could move faster and I most certainly don't think the levy is a good idea, but the fact is we operate in Latin America and I accept the situation for what it is. If I didn't, I wouldn't remain invested.

Nal, I can't speak for NMM, but I'm not saying I'm unhappy with our progress. What I am saying is that I find the lack of any mention of the CIPA is odd, especially as DV was quite specific about timing when he was speaking at Beaver Creek.

And still no mention of the CIPA.

Look at your post from 24th Jan in which you state, 'I was borne(sic) during the war'. Maybe you get confused by the words 'during' and 'after'?

Nal, so you're not in your eighties? That's interesting.

How does this square with your numerous statements telling us you were born during the war? For guidance, VE Day was 8th May 1945 and VJ Day was 15th August 1945.

Perhaps you meant the Vietnam war?
