I hold 50k shares. I need them to reach 230p by the time I retire to meet my goals. That's in September 2026. If it takes 5 years to get to 230p I'll be disappointed and quite bored.

I fully expect it to pass 230p in 2021. Any thoughts?

Forgive me for chipping in.
I'm very much in the dark here, just asking if someone can give me their opinion on where this is heading and a timeframe? I bought at 200p, and curious if we'll see that again this year, next year, or ever? What's the potential?
I know DYOR and all that, just looking for a non-committal overview. I put £1000 in, so it was a shot in the dark.

I've not kept up with developments today, why the rise? I'm happy about it, but is there a reason for it? Or is it going to slump back down tomorrow?

I'm disappointed. I bought at £2, like a twerp/ pillock/ dur-brain. I need this to 'bag' just to get back to zero. I'll be patient. Something has to perk up the SP sometime...

I bought at 206p, and hoped to make money. It's not been a great time since then. I tend to jinx the SP whether I buy or sell. I bought AVCT at 212p when it peaked and watched it drop back, i sold TLW recently at 21.5p and it then rose to 35p. Will FAB get back to the dizzy heights of 206p by xmas? in 2021? ever?

Anyone wish they'd cashed out at 35p?
I 'd vowed to hold until £1+, but bailed at 21.5p to buy AVCT, which rose and fell leaving me no profit. If it stagnates and TLW heads back to 20p I'll jump back in here.
You can't say the stock market's dull...

I held £40,000 of this and sold it all at 21.5p to get into Avacta after it dropped to serious bargain levels. Since then Avacta rose beautifully 30%+, and I felt I'd traded wisely. Now Avacta has slumped back, and Tullow has edged up and up and further up, and I've missed it all...again.
Previously I held 343,422 shares when it was at 8p, sold everything at 14p thinking it would retrace, but it kept going up to 40p. I felt pretty sick.
My life savings are back to £51k. I have less than 6 years to get it to £230k, anyone want a side bet I'll make it?

thank you, speranza, but i'm still a bit unclear. i feel from reading that article that, unless I worked as a trader, it won't make sense to me. As a modest investor, I'll just blindly accept that in this case its coincided with a price increase.

Can someone explain to me in layman's terms what a price monitoring extension is, and why it effects the SP?

Tullow seems to defy logic relative to factors which should emphatically move the SP up. I've been in here to some degree since just before the December plunge, and it's been a rocky ride. I genuinely wanted to ride the recovery up to £1, even if that took 6 years when I need my SIPP to be restored to it's former value.
If shares were reliable, they'd be called funds. We're here for the excitement, let's be honest, and some of the unpredictability has to be downwards. I might buy a scratchcard tonight for an instant fix.
I hope TLW gradually creeps upwards, but for now my majority holding is in AVCT. Did I leave at the wrong time, i wonder?

More than half my life savings is in Tullow because the SP dipped and I couldn't resist, but that may well jinx the future for current shareholders. My record is poor, so if I get in now, it'll kill any hopes of a rise. Once it dips from here, enough to make me cry, i'll sell them all, making the way clear for the SP to ACTUALLY fly, so I can watch other people get rich.

There's a pattern, I'm just saying.

I'm more like 80% down. I'll make it back, and more, but it'll take years, and possibly a little stress along the way. You could make your 35% back in weeks, maybe months. Patience is a virtue, and not investing in Tullow is a strong recommendation...

Full disclosure, I'm waiting to at least double my depleted SIPP in AVCT then come back to TLW for the slow tripling before 2026 when I retire. That would restore my pension allowing me to retire happy.

Well, I watched to begin with, saw it leap from 104p to 141p, then invested half my life savings.
Watched it leap to 212p, invested the other half, then watched it fall all the way back.
I seem to jinx share prices...
