We must be reading different books.

The world is NOT determined to achieve net zero, maybe some countries are playing at it but on global terms, not a chance.

Yes there will always be a demand for lithium and Zulu will service that demand but I am afraid the days of mega spodumene prices have passed, and the company will be returning much lower profits than first expected

One avenue I am keen on is the "in-house" processing of spodumene and servicing a battery mega plant in Zimbabwe,can see value in this direction.

The masses will not be drawn to EV,it will find a level and stay there.

Did you read that Amazon in Germany has dropped electric vans and returned to fossil fuel power?

The market for the EV has slowed down.

The exceptional figures posted 2/3 years ago were not sustainable.

There are countless reasons why the rate of EV expansion has slowed.

Miners taking the maintenance option or reducing output should help but in reality, the market is out of kilter.

The word on the street is that further falls are expected so you will appreciate it is a little difficult to compute Zulu economics.

Once the spodumene price stabilises then the equation becomes a little more credible.

When I do my calculations I work on a Canmax discount of 15% so currently the spodumene has a value of $1406.

Production costs must be slashed,a good point was made yesterday that when production is running costs will fall from the current $1500.

I am concerned about the margins.

There are glaring issues facing Premier, issues that have a material effect on the performance of Zulu. Yet, some such topics are not to be discussed, and the posters are ridiculed and insulted.

Just because the posts are not singing the glory of Zulu does not make them irrelevant, the topics are relevant and it is healthy to discuss.

Talk about this BB becoming a cesspit, it is more like a junior Telegram Group.

You may not like the facts or opinions but they have as much right to post on this BB as any rose tinter.

IMO all adult opinions are welcome.

Yes i take the point about lower production costs[in production] however this will only run parallel with falling spodumene prices so the problem remains.

Zulu will have to increase production on day two.

Surely the Telegram Group has enough business experience to understand that you cannot continue in business if your rising production costs exceed mine revenue.

Should the CEO call for more money I cannot see this helping,yes it may pay a few bills however it does not in any way eliminate the underlying problem.

Can Premier afford to act as the sole agent at Zulu?

I fear that the figures will not stack up, Premier will either require a JV or sell Zulu.

As things stand and with further drops in spodumene price I am finding economic viability at Zulu hard to compute, things need to change.

Production costs need to be slashed.

Volatile for the next 3 years, maybe a small increase.

Current downward pressure to continue.

A few brine operators have already gone for maintenance, while others have cut production.

The industry is begging for additional government "sweeteners" at the EV level.
