At this juncture, it all gets a little technical and legal.
As I see it CEO can call an AGM after the end of the financial year, should he call an AGM then he must, if he so requires, put himself up for election to the post of CEO.
I can see no barrier to also asking shareholders to raise the ceiling.
There is usually an AGM following the publication of annual accounts, this is mid-year.
Last year CEO had two AGMs',most odd.
With an EGM I don't think the CEO has to be re-elected.
I dare say the company legal team will enjoy putting me right.
Should he call for EGM/AGM in January I am sure he will be successful in getting the agenda passed.
