That is a very interesting scenario you floated, one I hadn’t considered. There is now pressure on DB and the MTL board to come up with a replacement for Dupax and as you know Drachs have a person the MTL board in the shape of Rob Marshall the UK managing director and CFO of the Evans Property Group. As HEX neared their execution I sold a few MTL to increase my holding in HEX whereby MTL latter is still my largest long term investment. I will add more when the current pause heads upwards. Cheers. Our major investors Drachs/Evans Investment Company/Property Group seems to be able to pick winners although it is far from easy to discover their other holdings apart from a near 11% holding in Helix Exploration. For those not aware of Drachs, it bought into MTL about three years ago at around the 5p and 6p mark so has now almost tripled the value of the 600,000,00, 20.27% holding in MTL. The company is big into property investment in the UK, especially so in Yorkshire where the company started out as a small transport operation of the Evans’ family.

It was the Drachs holding in MTL that led to my buying shares in HEX, now about to take off. Up14% today) DYOR. Follow The Money. I am still invested in MTL. My largest holding by far.

My CVRs are listed with ii but I didn't transfer my MTL shares into ii. I bought my MTL in ii.

Good Luck Stocks. You are right to do as you see fit with your investments because MTL is for sure a tricky one for us all. A series of events has held back MTL share price for the last 6 months or so, bad fortune that may just last for a few months more until La India produces and/or DB & the board can quickly find another Dupax. Having been with MTL since the beginning I feel some loyalty to the company whereby, unlike you, my heart may be ruling my head. Having said that I did last week sell a small part of my holding to put money into both Kefi and HEX, two companies that should do well in the next few months, hopefully longer. GLA

Are you for real? Nic Candy is a property developer of luxury and very expensive flats . Hence the mention in the files. I suggest you stop watching BBC and reading the Guardian and do proper research.

Your last scenario is highly unlikely as much as it might double the price of oil and BP's SP. Both Israel and the US would annihilate Iran in a week or less. IMHO our best bet for BP is that it reverts to basic business and sells off marginal activities.

Short term I think Trump is hitting the pressure points to force Iran into positive moves as Iran cannot afford more of what took place last summer. Iran are playing for time and the end of Trumptime but they may be disappointed if JD Vance becomes president as the USA will continue to stop their games.

I know that politics is frowned upon with many of these BBs but to me and where British Petroleum is concerned the politics of Net Zero is inseparable from the company’s decline and problems. That is why I am looking to a two or three year target for BP’s recovery following a realisation that part of the way forward is fossil fuels and new technologies unhindered by man-made climate fantasies. When we rid ourselves of the current lunatics and elect a Government experienced and supportive of a business environment, the up tick in BP’s fortunes will move more quickly.

That is a very positive and supportive write up for the way ahead for BP. This for me is a two or three year wait but in the interim a steady rise with decent income. I intend to top up Monday.

I think DB handled the Dupax questions in an honest way,.We have to accept that Dupax in now finished as a project for the foreseeable future. In updates or these types of interview Darren has never laid all of his cards fully on the table but always keeps some hidden from view, as is best business practice. He hinted two or three times at being open to opportunities further afield in Philippines, South-East Asia and central America. A telling moment was when said that he in Nic he doesn’t deal with intermediaries but talks directly to the mines minister of Nicaragua, who of course is in daily contact with President Daniel Ortega.

All in all today is a good update, with a little uptick in the SP and despite some minor negatives MTL is on track to deliver for us all later this year.
