I’m not sure who else got a big rise off Labour , but 5% for teachers and 22% for junior doctors.

I think there have become issues recruiting in both these sectors and the pay has eroded while the ask increased . 22% seems steep but overall they haven’t really done much more than reverse some erosion set in by the tories.

The issues will arise in the budget I think. Inheritance tax and pensions. So far I don’t think much wrong has been done but it certainly is to come

I would think Bt shares are 170 within 12 months so if Bharti don’t get a move on day 1 after 6 months lapses , they will struggle to get a bid in and through before it becomes unaffordable . Hence kretinsky cracking on with it this year over a Royal Mail.

Is it not the case you can take £12750 out of your pension as draw down income before tax?

I bought a top up the other week but only because it was 464 plus the dividend is due. Otherwise I’m not a buyer and will take divi as cash

Phatz, Bt shares are 140p on the open market but rodders keeps harassing me with DM’s asking to buy my shares for £5 each. I’m not sure why but he is obsessed with paying a fiver , and won’t touch shares that are priced lower !
