RE: Vodafone + 3 Merger Approved by CMA5 Dec 2024 23:06
Lily savage , bt already have the offices and are taking over leases from others office spaces such as admiral in strategy locations. Marketed as great modern offices in comparison to the original old buildings. However they are designed to target higher grade employees on old contracts, move and travel or leave. Many leave.
Over time some leases won’t be renewed and offices will be further consolidated , and people will again be given a choice to move or leave. So the offices and the move from WFH to hybrid will continually chip away at staff numbers . Saving money not costing.
As for morale. No one cares. Watered down protections and a weak cwu mean management can motivate for productivity despite morale.
Think of how customer service used to be paramount at luxury brands such as car makers, where that’s disappeared and been replaced with penny pinching and gouging on extras and repairs. Same with morale, no need to pander anymore as employees have limited alternatives for good paying jobs. Do the work or do one.
So you’re way off the mark yet again. Deramper.
