Here you go guys & girls - as promised I managed to plot the activity locations onto Google Earth and here's the positions n relation to the 2D IP surveys that were carried out earlier in the year.

No real surprises with the location - 2 seem to be on the edge of Kraken and one right in the centre of it.
The other one to the SE of the camp is right smack bang in the middle of the London target.

Been on the road this morning - have you seen this one of the drill rig cracking on with the helicopter doing the AEM survey in the background. Won't be long until they get through the permian and start pulling cores out of the target rocks.

No way daveri007 - I wish Havieron would be producing 20M tpa - imagine at 6.2g/t - that would be about 4m oz of gold per year.

The max Havieron will be turning out for the first 5-6 years would be 2M tpa.

Hi @deserttrader - NCM were happily block-cave mining away at Cadia when the gold price was only $1,200 and below.

When they bought out 70% of Red Chris on the proviso that it would become another Cadia they used $1,200 as their long term gold price also. I think they would be comfortable with a gold price around that level - provided the tons of ore are there to justify the big upfront Capex cost to develop the block cave.
We all know the AISC for a block cave is ridiculously cheap - so it's all down to the scale of the deposit, and Havieron keeps growing every day.

I've also got it on good authority that this footage was prior to the recent upgrade. So what we are seeing would have been the set-up for the 90-man camp, they are in the process of upgrading this to a 250-man camp at the moment.

It a pretty sizeable chunk of infrastructure on in the middle of nowhere - Paddy

@Bagpu55 - I have had emails with both Callum and Gervaise but it's always been about technical questions in relation to surveys, mineralisation, etc. They are usually very good to answer any queries like that - I haven't asked the question about the drill program or the amount of drill rigs they are using.

I feel he wanted us to be privy to that info he would have RNS'd it - perhaps he doesn't want us (or the market) to know for a good reason. I'm happy to wait and see and hopefully be surprised when we get a sh*tload of results in one go, maybe.

Absolutely BTB - surely GGP has to be firmly on the radar of substantial institutions now, I'm sure that Hannam & Berenberg will be pulling out all the stops behind the scenes to get Gervaise in front of all the relevant people.

So aside from all the drilling , assay & survey results - we could have some left field news from another fund / institution - happy days all round - Paddy

No worries Welsh - it's too early in the morning to be worrying about it. Whatever way you cut it - the report from Hannam yesterday (whilst a very welcome upgrade) was still ultimately extremely conservative IMO.
I think reading between the lines they were probably forced to toe the line a little in regards to the guidance from NCM on the size and shape of the HGZ but were then quite quick to point out the positives like the extended HGZ and the breccias that are NOT included at present but have the potential to sky rocket the target price when they have enough info to allow them to be assessed.

All in all - I was very pleased with the outcome and look forward to more updates in the not to distant future.

Remember - this time 3 weeks we should be picking out some new adjectives from GH after the 10th RNS on the NCM results has been posted - tick tock.....

I think you will find that Hannam allowed for an average grade of 0.6% Cu in their calculations for the HGZ. If you look at the bottom of page 3 you can see the table - they've allowed for 120.9 Kt of copper.

@Academy - DDH1 use the best equipment and most of their rigs are multi-functional RC/DD rigs that are capable of up to 3000m so I don't think there will be any issues on that score.

I emailed Callum after his presentation to ask how the original forward modelling that they had completed on Havieron using their magnetic, gravity and mmi surveys were holding up now that Newcrest had done 12 months worth of drilling. He replied that the model that they had prepared and used to guide their initial drilling was still holding up very well and had been very accurate in predicting the size and shape of the anomalies - the only thing it couldn't have predicted was the grades they were intersecting.
He said that it gave them a high level of confidence in the models that they had prepared for the other targets . I am reasonably confident that they will find mineralisation down there - it is just down to the overall size and grade that will be interesting to discover.
Newcrest only abandoned the drilling there because they didn't have access to suitable rigs at that time and then concluded that there were other 'lower-hanging' fruits that could be better exploited at that time.
