Longknife, I am not sure why they would do that or what the benefit would be. Obviously, I have been stuck in this play for several years so I would like to get a return on my investment. And I tend to focus on the negative. But it seems even with taking the moratorium out of the timeline there has been many more fails than successes. There could be all the gas in the world down there…but if you cant get in a cost effective manner its worthless.
Kaylla has been a complete disaster. We were lifted on news of “estimated” flow rates. Seems our neighbors are having much more success. And Velkerri seems way past due on news if everything went smoothly. Loosing faith we partnered with a competent exploration partner.
I think there is much speculation and needless pumping going on here. Good luck. State side we have traded a total of 10g worth for FOG today. If this was the greatest buy of all time money would flowing in. It’s a spec play and news will drive this stock up. I was surprised about the last rise as the news was based on “estimates” without providing much insight as to how those numbers were obtained. Again, I am a long term holder since before the moratorium. I certainly hope this bird takes off. But it will only do with good news. Anything else will send us back to the bottom of the barrel. And anyone who can predict these day to day swings…I hope you are making money on it. I don’t to be able to do that. I just hold and wait.
Well maybe one day you will be right. But no, I watched similar rises be demolished by the end of the day. I have watched this stock rise on weak news and do nothing on good news. 10% up and downs been the norm with FOG. No much money coming in during many of these swings. State side we were up 5% yesterday on $120,000 worth of shares trade.
Just my two cents. I think we had a selloff yesterday as a result of many fears about a market correction. Low liquidity makes for big jumps up and big jumps down. I think FOG is being driven by money coming back into market after some re-evaluated the risks in the equity market. Hope to hear something soon about K117. More days that pass the more concerned I get....bad news will push this stock down.
Oleo-
Wondering, is it fair to draw such conclusions from a slideshow? I know little about drilling. Regardless, we have drilled two wells both of which have issues. As I have stated, we do not need better marketing. We need clear data supporting the asset which will create confidence that a purchaser will be able to recreate. Until then, as someone else said, there will always be a day you can buy Falcon for cheaper.
I also think there are potential political issues to factor in. The moratorium came fast and lasted for what seemed like forever. Politics is like a pendulum and it could always swing again and create issues down the road. We need confidence in the assert and certainty on the political front. Until then, its a high risk investment. It has been interesting seeing all these new folks flock to FOG after a brief run. I will be the first to admit I could have made a lot more money on other investments over the past several years. This has been a painful ride with some many speed bumps. I am hesitantly hopeful at this point in time.
I think current gas prices have no bearing on Falcon. I think we are still at least a year from any real discussion about selling the asset…if we even get there. Fingers crossed.
I am not sure they did not apply. POQ issued a statement about the grants. Origin is squeaky clean but perhaps Falcon's past relationship with a few bad Russian actors left a sour taste in the government's mouth. That is, after the criticism they go from their first grant with Empire they might want to avoid other deals that might subject them to additional scrutiny. I am still hopeful FOG/Origin will be awarded a grant.
Oh geeze. I don’t post on these boards much. I want Falcon to fly as much as anyone else. Been invested since 2015. Not sure that makes me a LTH compared to some others on here. You can assume what you want to assume. But the announcement does not say a production test is underway. While that may be the case…I am not sure why Falcon would withhold that information. They simply could have said, “we believe we have addressed the blockage and have begun an extended production test to confirm…we will update our shareholders as we learn more.” Though, I hope you are correct in your assumptions.
The announcement is not screaming confidence when it includes a reminder to shareholders that Falcon is fully carried. It seems pretty clear they have developed a plan in an attempt to address the blockage. Let’s hope it works. I am sure they will issue a statement if it does. Anyone reading more into this is high.
Confidence remains low in Falcon to execute the plan. I think that is changing with each success. Let hope for more. And here in the US, many believe we are heading into a large correction. If so, cash will be king and many are liquidating assets or will be selling off stocks should they see signs. I can see more red days for Falcon until more definitive good new is release.
I do not believe there were 40 million shares in the “hands of liquidators.” I believe the noted stated he retained 40 million shares. I am not surprised after an 86% rise in share price someone would lower their exposure in this stock. Many believe there will be a major correction in the market. A small play like FOG with low liquidity will be hard to move out of quickly. If the bears are right, cash will be king with more buying opportunities all over the place.
Def had hoped to see this bird soar finally. But I am not surprised. I thought when the moratorium was lifted we would start to rise. But no….it just slowly dropped and I kept lowering my position. I think with all the setbacks there is still little confidence here. Frankly, between POQ’s statement regarding the “significance” of the “estimate” and Origin’s more conservative and tempered statements—I was a bit deflated.
I think Kaylla is likely not going in a good direction. Or, they have dealt with the issue and moved on to a production test. But I think they would have updated us by now. The only other good news would be the award of a government grant in addition to what Newtofo identified.
Congrats to the longterm holders...including myself who after five years has a green ticker to look at. Still a ways to go. Good news on the Kyalla blockage would be awesome. The more time that passes the less confident I am. A similar result on the Velkerri well will go a long ways towards showing the extent of the resource (along with success for Empire and Santos). I think the flow rate clearly indicates commercialization. I think the key will be getting drilling prices down as more is learned about the geology. I am not an expert in this field but I think lowering the costs to access the resource seems a critical component when it comes to valuing the asset. Only my second post but a big TY to those who have been on this board for years. I have followed and learned for five years now. It has been a frustrating ride but I kept faith in the science...almost lost faith in FOGs ability to execute. Hopefully great news to come! Until then, I don't care what happens day to day;)
Longtime follower and first time poster. I’ve had a decent position in FOG for a few years and have bought the dips. I have never been able to post on this board for some reason but it just started working. I am hoping this year we start to get the data that supports a sale of the asset at a value that been worth waiting for. POQ acknowledged this year will define what happens going forward. And so far, we are not off the start we were hoping for. While I understand many want him to say something, he said a lot in 2015 and none of the came to fruition. So, he probably should keep his mouth shut. Finally, if the current blockage is as simple as some have assumed, I suspect we will hear something shortly. If not, assume is not good. I hope this becomes a great investment.
