Just to correct you. I am talking UK and not about a little England.
Just to add I lived in Scotland for 8 years and understand more than you assume !
Scotland would vote again to be part of the UK.

The answer to the Scotland issue is easy !
Like naughty children Boris should take away their toys !
They have far to many MP's for Scotland. What is it , 52 MP's represent Scotland.
The solution is simple Boris should threaten to reduce the number of MP's in Scotland to just 2.
That's all you need . Scotland West and Scotland East. That sorts out any power issues.
Lastly ban Whisky production in Scotland. The production of Whisky only allowed in England.
This would put Nicloa Sturgon in her place.

Finally on a serious note. The last vote in Scotland for independence was supposed and agreed to be a once in a lifetime vote .
Come back in another 60 or 70 years then !
Some in Scotland need to realise that Scotland is part of the UK and has to respect the wishes of the UK and not be so bloody selfish. They lost the vote. The people of Scotland voted to stay in the UK. The Europe issue is just a excuse for some to attempt to try again !
You lost the independence vote in 2014 - move on !

I agree and enjoy reading your posts. Indeed i have pretty much agreed with all the facts you have posted .
However on the subject of dividends, i have to disagree with your last post.
Why ?
I believe coming to market with a dividend plan sometime in 2020 would be a show of strength ! As we all agree Enquest have always been conservative in their forecasts, so this would be taken very positively by the market Indeed it would also force the analysists to look very closely at Enquests numbers and "drill down" deeper than they have historically done ! They would then begin to see what we see ! Surely a positive ?

I agree with you. The boys here are wrong. They are acting/talking liked weary and tired investors who have been ground down. oh wait a minute, yes we have !
However, when it turns positive it will go crazy, to the upside. POO will be the driver for this, which will be when it is confirmed that US production has "peaked for good" !
AB will want the company's valuation up from these levels. I feel confident he has his eyes on the ftse250 for Enquest and the kudos that goes with it for him. Paying a dividend sometime in 2020 may just be the trigger to secure our place in the ftse250 late in 2020. (by increasing our MC)
Summary-
Dividends are coming and so is that delayed 60p Party. I'm buying the first load of drinks !

I feel that they will announce a dividend plan next year. They may not announce until H2 giving a plan for 2021 or could they announce some divi plan H1 when 2019 full year results are out ?
Either way I feel dividends are coming here soon !
Crickey a 3p divi will only cost £50m and would turbo-charge the SP. Yes I believe AB will use divis soon to get the SP where he wants it !

I don't see a takeover. Any potential purchaser would surely want the boards backing. I don't believe AB is ready for that yet.

Hi Pelle,
London stock market personel to busy arranging Christmas parties. No time for actioning trades.
You have to understand they need time to choose Turkey or Beef, what wines to have etc etc.
They should wake up a bit next week !

We are not totally a " one trick pony", we do rely heavily on Kraken to keep the production levels up to Enquest's production targets/guidance.
Therefore I suggest the market wants to see Kraken producing at it's current levels for a decent period of time before it is convinved that the company has really got Kraken sorted (long term) !
Just a thought.

It seems you get to a point when all the talking and analysis is done. You just enter the waiting zone.
You and I , Chilting , MO , DiscoDave and Spindok have been here a long time. Too long ! lol.
I think we arrived at the party so early they hadn't even built the venue ! lol

I understand your frustration. I have been here a long time too !
Indeed I think we have communicated on here before. I was better known as "Jan".
Anyway back to Enquest - if you look back again at the last financials you will see we have turned a corner. While we are making good money and paying down debt , I will not be going anywhere. Of course I believe medium term POO will rise nicely clearing $70 . However even at these levels of POO, Enquest is making money.
Many here seem "Fearful" . We all know that old saying about being fearful.
I believe Enquest is "cheap"which is why , over the last 48 hours I have added another 100,000 shares to my holding. Like you my average is around 25p. However unlike you I can see much better days on the horizon !
