A positive report which shows that (a) it remains possible to trade successfully on the high street, and (b) the importance of a strong and capable management team.

Given the wider market issues, the Board's decision to pay a 2p dividend is welcome and reflects their commitment to shareholders.

There are a number of unknowns however even taking a pessimistic view of the margin enhancements that can be achieved on the HPE acquisition, a target sp above £27 seems easily realistic. Will re-run the figures when the reverse takeover papers become available. As always this is my personal view and does not constitute a buy, hold or sell decision. DYOR.
