Agreed. My sp target was 360p, see previous posts, however today's results have justified an increase to 400p (by mid-2018).

The massive discount to NAV has existed for years. It reflects, in part, the market's perceived costs of bringing the company's assets to profitable delivery.

No surprises in the RNS. Issue remains that future depends on effectiveness of execution of the merger including driving up margins to MCRO levels. MCRO has a history of successful acquisitions, with its operations spanning several areas where customers have limited options if they decide not to undertake wholesale expensive replacement of legacy systems. HP is a bigger bite and therefore carries increased risk. My personal sp target of £26 by late 2018 remains in place.

Agreed! I've been involved with other 'low bid' situations where sometimes another bidder is flushed out. The North Sea and close areas is tempting quite a bit of sales and purchase activity so I anticipate that some players will have had numerous companies on their watch lists. I feel like a bout of personal inactivity is called for; let's wait and see what happens.

Almost 42% of the shareholders, i.e. Marks, are clearly seemingly comfortable with the current situation. Whether other shareholders get to 51% is a mote point. As a shareholder here I'm keen to see action however have to recognise that it needs 50%+ support for it to be democratic.

Tang racks in a very appreciable income from his director and consulting fees (potential conflict of interest I think) so, unfortunately, his interests don't appear, to me, to be aligned with private shareholders. If you want to depress yourself, just total up his income which is listed in the annual reports.

...today is very disappointing. The BOD need to keep a grip - starting by removing some of the underperfoming members - and start to deliver from what they state to be a "leading supplier" of "world class software".
