Share price bottoming28 Oct 2016 20:09
Miss G. I've been having exactly same thoughts. Think very peculiar the way the share price has barely moved. Something is supporting it. The day after the RNS lots of people seemed to be dumping and then these sells were being bought up in large chunks. Not sure if this is a normal pattern.
It is very odd.
In case of debt for equity swap or other mooted option (to dispose of conventional assets) presumably the registered shareholders would get a vote? Could the large purchasers be someone positioning themselves to have influence in this decision?
Could be a whole range of reasons though. Purchases ahead of NCC, people thinking has hit bottom. etc etc
I'd also love to hear some views.
Clear to me that the new bondholders are playing hardball if not are out and out hostile. I'm a long term holder at a significant loss. I sold most the other day and am waiting to come back in should the company's debt issues be resolved. Will miss out on the hoped for bounce back but if things clarified will benefit longer term.
