mrc. If you follow all types of news media and not just the BBC you will be aware of a huge and growing body of scientists, politicians and general public, who accept that this disease can kill and cause serious illness, albeit that the vast majority of affected are 70+.
But when you compare the numbers to 5 year excess deaths, they are not that far above normal. And contrary to the propaganda used to justify the current lockdown, most hospitals are nowhere near covid crisis point. The information used was based on 30 or so of the country's most affected hospitals out of over 400, and wittey and co used this to justify figures of thousands of deaths per day and bounce a hapless Bojo into submission. It was almost as bad as Blair and Starmer's weapons of mass destruction dodgy dossier.
The fact is if a fraction of the money spent on covid had been directed at the biggest killers, heart and cancer, they would have probably reduced excess deaths below normal levels including covid. .
Since you ask, I am 65 and probably a little overweight so maybe at risk but I take reasonable care through my own decisions and resent being forced by the state to follow some of their ludicrous controls, such as ok to sweat and breathe heavily in a small gym but not sing hymns in a cavern sized church.
My fear is not for me , nor the politicians and boffins and beaurocrats on guaranteed jobs and salaries. My fear is for the kids and grandkids who will pay for this year for the next 20 or 30 years.
