Although your shares are, in effect, currently worthless as you can not realise your collateral by sale, they also have not been liquidated so are not a loss as yet. Private speculators have their money frozen, and they are unable to realise their capital to reinvest elsewhere. This is what makes the shares currently worthless, as shareholders, for instance, can not use it to take advantage of trading the Trump fiascos and similar. An extremely frustrating situation.
The suspension has been good for San Leon and Mr. Fanning because with several years of very slow “progress” and failure to secure a loan to save the company, the shares would have plummeted even more than they did pre-suspension, as many would have bailed as the price headed south. Mind you, you wouldn't have had to wait years to offset the SLE loss against gains elsewhere.
You may still have the option of trying to sell OTC, but you would probably have to accept a very low offer if you can find a dealer willing to take the risk.
Of course, this is all my opinion and not advice, and I am sure Bluenill and Samuppet, etc, will have a different opinion that spins an incredibly, 100% positive side to the fiasco and will allay all your fears. lol.
