If we were unhedged we'd be sky rocketing. UK gas prices are up FORTY PERCENT this month. We're very hedged until the end of 2023. They've hedged more oil as well. Sucks.

Whoever is selling at £14 needs a lobotomy.

The £ is down. Oil is now UP. This is so mispriced. Fools are dumping because of the Delta wave or whatever. They aren't seeing the wood for the trees.

Global gas prices have rallied enormously. Dutch TTF gas prices have doubled in four months. Asia spot LNG has doubled since the end of last year. If current prices come even close to holding then the FCF will be insane.

Yes. I want them to buy assets. I don't mind them hedging if they do that.

Hedging at current prices, keeping production flat and paying a dividend is not something I'm very attracted to.

Yes. Unfortunately, they've hedged gas until the end of 2023. If they start hedging extra 2022 or even 2023 oil then I'll probably sell. I'll take that as them putting the interests of those shareholders who are former creditors above the other shareholders.

I'm sure most former creditors want stability so they can get out at predictable prices. Other shareholders want exposure to commodity upside.

Let's hope they stop hedging.

Saying you're going to accelerate emissions reductions due to a ruling you're appealing is very, very stupid. He should be saying it would just mean selling assets to other companies, it would be a complete waste of time and shell will appeal and leave the Netherlands if it loses.

He's verbally rewarding "activists" and an absurd court decision. Bailing out of oil at exactly the wrong time.

They're going to do mega buybacks IMO. That way, they can produce far less oil - and emissions - yet actually be producing more oil per outstanding share than they were before.
