who does have concrete evidence on any stock? that is called ''insider trading'' The bottom line is the pub industry will not return to normal even this time next year. To this effect all stocks will be compromised and we will not see a ''false rally'' like we saw in March after the crash where so many stocks doubled. This was on the hope Covid would be gone quickly, when in essence it will be around even this time next year with a Vaccine that will be mediocre at best.

SIG will be fine and can see early twenties and no lower. This is because it will get through the crisis, unlike some companies.

Many shares will crash because they recovered too strongly in March and have bad fundamentals going against them.

I have posted on a range of BB's how every few years we get a share that has crashed, but then rises from the dead. In the past, Taylor Woodrow, 4p to 35p, Corus 4p to 60p, Debenhams 20p to £1 etc. Perhaps Cineworld will go from 4p to 40p? Then a Rights Issue after confirmation of survival.

But is it just me whom is beginning to think the CD & R stake may be becoming a " poison pill?"

If they had not built up the stake, would somebody else not just have jumped in by now with a " going rate bid" of say 50p?

Good honest post. Quite simply, what we can expect is to Marstons to pull through and be a survivor, but not a winner.
What markets hate is uncertainty and there is going to be a lot of that for the next few years, this is why I have suggested a return to the 20's at some point.

SP's rise on sales and profits, not on existence alone. Even with a Vaccine, expect poor summer results and the SP will have to reflect a poor Christmas trading period in 2021. As for this Christmas, dare I say anymore?

By Christmas expect this to be in the twenties, but then so quickly into the forties again.
The timing of this depends on the vaccine.

This will not drop to where it did before the CD & R deal, unlike some companies, it does have a solid future ahead of it.
I can see this at 20p at worst and can double on good news.

From there it can hit 75p on evidence of ''effective synergies'' between the ''two companies'' It will not hit £1 for a long time because whilst the virus will be on the way out soon, the recession that will proceed will last a long time.
