RE: RNS Binding Agreement NotConcluded16 Jun 2025 10:14
I think POW has dodged a bullet here.
I have lived in gulf region for circa 20 years and I’ve seen that having local companies here as clients, partners, suppliers, etc is fraught with risk. The authorities will always side with them if things go sour.
Also why was AMAK a 1 Billion GBP listed Mining Company needing to get POW involved for scratching around looking for something worthwhile in their dirt (if it was likely to be good pay dirt)? Never really sat right with me….generally it’s the other way around whereby the big player does the farm-in to the small player’s asset. Were POW going to be spending their money and then having the rug pulled on them down the line if they found something juicy during exploration…..would have been quite a likely scenario imo.
Anyway, POW needs to laser focus their attention, resources, cash, etc on developing their key shareholder value drivers going forward. Perhaps part of this can be a dividend and/or share buy-back program with part of the funds they’ve saved here.
